Wow they played SOS?! What a shitty show I went to then....so good to see the residency warming up so well. Just to clarify he meat Same Old Song and Dance, not (SOS) too bad. Yes. I know better too because I normally hate using initials for song titles...sorry. On a side note, I offer up this picture to the woman who rubbed her chest up against me in hopes to charm her way into my spot against the stage. Man was she pissed off when it didn’t work!

I went back to Vegas last weekend and did the back-to-back Paul McCartney and Aerosmith gigs on Friday and Saturday nights... What a weekend! VERY cool to catch Steven and Paul blasting through Helter Skelter at T Mobile Arena. I am so very fortunate. Saturday's show was my second on this residency thing...first show was in April on the second night. What a difference a few months make. While the April show was marred with technical glitches and band in-fighting (mostly Steven bitching everyone else out), this one was just about flawless. Between the two shows, I have seen 23 different songs now so you won't get any set list complaints from me. They ROCKED. The first four songs absolutely COOKED with Train, SOSAD, Rag Doll and Last Child. Holy shit, I figured everything else would be the same from Sweet Emotion on but I was wrong. They did NOT PLAY IDWTMAT...well alright! Sucks to be all the uppity couples that used that turd as their wedding song! Chip Away was INCREDIBLE in the encore spot...LOVE IT!!! The band seemed to be getting along extremely well with a ton of smiles and personal interaction on stage. Sounds silly, but I could feel the love. My seat may have been the best spot in the entire theater, directly up against the stage at the side of the point. I was able to high five/shake all five of their hands. Steven grabbed my hand and shook me so hard I just about fell down. It was a fucking BLAST. If you're thinking about going...just do it. Sure, its Las Vegas so you get your fair share of fair weather fans and rich morons, but this show is a real treat for the fans too. If I could, I would go back again. Here are a few pics: Hard to believe the age of these guys when you see them live... Long Live Aerosmith! Awesome review, thanks for sharing!

VERY cool to catch Steven and Paul blasting through Helter Skelter at T Mobile Arena. I am so very fortunate. Well that must have been absolutely fantastic! Lucky you! And by the way: ^A^ could actually play Helter Skelter on their shows from time to time too. Such a cool song They did NOT PLAY IDWTMAT...well alright! Sucks to be all the uppity couples that used that turd as their wedding song! Awww... that's too bad! For them The band seemed to be getting along extremely well with a ton of smiles and personal interaction on stage. Sounds silly, but I could feel the love. And that is perhaps the most important sentence in this whole thread. It is GREAT to hear that and it bodes well for the future. My seat may have been the best spot in the entire theater, directly up against the stage at the side of the point. I was able to high five/shake all five of their hands. Steven grabbed my hand and shook me so hard I just about fell down. So how did that happen...? I mean I get it with Steven, but what about the rest of the guys? Tom and Brad don't usually come to the front, maybe once or twice during each show and even so they are usually pretty busy with their guitars Not to mention Joey, who is not really mobile So I take it happened at the end of the show...? It was a fucking BLAST. If you're thinking about going...just do it. Sure, its Las Vegas so you get your fair share of fair weather fans and rich morons, but this show is a real treat for the fans too. If I could, I would go back again. Damn it, if only this was not that far away from me! At least on the east coast! Hard to believe the age of these guys when you see them live... Long Live Aerosmith! And that should be our motto!

Yeah, I got Steven during Toys and the other four at the end of the show. I must of distracted Tom because he almost missed his introduction while shaking my hand. I forgot to mention that I watched Joe whip out a switch blade and murder one of those huge balloons right in front of me...what a badass! A quick flip of the wrist and it was back into his pocket. He was in top form all night.

I have a front row ticket for the show on Tuesday. Does this mean I'm going to have to fight to keep a spot next to the stage? Do they let more people down there than the people who actually have seats in that area? The few pics I've seen it looks like there's a big crowd. I'm only 5'2 so I'm hoping to not have to worry about that!

We went to the Tuesday, July 2 and Thursday, July 4 shows. Both shows were great and the extra time between the 2 shows I saw in April and these 2 shows did show how much more comfortable they had become with the venue and the experience. Tuesday night the guys were all getting along. Steven and Joe were laughing, Brad was laughing. The music sounded great. But the 4th's show blew everything out of the water. Steven was in an excellent mood and the energy of the band and the crowd was amazing! When Steven came out for the encores carrying the American flag, the arena started chanting. "USA, USA". During the introductions I got a wave from Brad, a fist bump from Tom, and Steven grab my hand and arm. He also talked with my husband and flipped his Aerosmith hat off his head. During "Sweet Emotion", Tom stood right in front of me, played for me and gave me one his goofy faces. Joe was standing in front of me right before he started "Stop Messin'" (which had a great jam session to it) and I told him he looked good in his black suit and white tie. He said "thank you". The music was hot and the place was rocking. I don't think Aerosmith have sounded better than they did last night.
Our seats were on Tom and Brad's side, right at the catwalk, about 3 rows away from the end. Great place because the chairs they put out for Steven and Joe are right in front of you and Steven's piano comes up where you can get the best shots of him playing (I'd post some pics, but can't seem to get them posted correctly). The ushers don't let people rush up to the sides of the catwalk, but still good to make friends with them. As we left Tuesday night, we told our usher that we'd be back on the 4th and in the same seats. She remembered us when we got there last night. Sure wish I had the time and money to go again. And I ate up hearing "Chip Away' twice.

I forgot to mention, for anyone who's familiar, we saw Eddie Trunk while leaving the July 2 show and he fist bumped my husband and I.

Wow sounds you had a blast. I agree that the mood the guys are in is very important. Seeing them smile and physically interacting with each other and the crowd might pay more than a good solo sometimes. I remember in 2010 Steven catching a flag thrown from the crowd and putting it on his head during Edge, it felt so magical like it was supposed to happen.
In 2014 I remember Brad coming down the catwalk all smiling, Tom getting a big crowd reaction during the intro to sweet emotion and then Steven jumping around him during same old song and dance which has a killer bassline!
Or in 2017 someone threw a pair of lace panties to Joe and they landed up exactly on his guitar's headstock and he blasted the elevator solo with those panties on!
Those are the moments that make a concert memorable and special, crowd interaction is everything and these guys are just so cool 😎
I am really looking forward to seeing a blue ray release of this residency thing maybe with a selection of performances from more dates. I'm expecting a 4K treatment with impeccable audio specs (DTS-HD MASTER AUDUIO OR DOLBY ATMOS?)... Let's see...

Just got back from the VIP museum and on stage tour. It was awesome. The on-stage tour was so cool. Haystack, one of their head roadies, went very deep into all the gear. We also got see Buck and Aaron Perry. Cool stuff!

Went to the show tonight. I will review today’s and Tuesday’s when I have more time. Overall great show. The band seemed to be having a lot of fun. Joe was the MVP. He played great! Other Side and Thighs were awesome treats.

Other Side and Thighs were awesome treats. Went last night and had a blast. As a setlist complainer I can't complain at all. Other side was great despite Steven messing up the words early on and thighs was freaking awesome. Tom saw my sign requesting one way street but it didn't do much but I tried. Band was in great spirits and having a great time. You could feel the energy and seeing them enjoying the show. I splurged for the $250 g/a side stage tickets. They give you an iPod to listen via the bands mix or Steven's mix and you get to keep the headphones along with at the end a box with different sized ear buds. Only down side was being on Tom and Brad's side bucks stuff got in the way for a totally clear stage view and they rope off the best part of the side ga for those who paid more I assume via a meet and greet. With 5 minutes before the start they then open it up for everyone. Show flew by but was worth the money and trip. Met really nice people waiting in line as well which made going solo a lot better and made the long wait time to get in worth it.
