They started off good but then flopped. If they do this crap in the states, Slash will blow them off the stage.

You know how sick we are of these SAME setlist year after year? Imagine how sick the band has to be? When Tom mentioned they were practicing songs they hadn't played ions I was holding out hope. Hiw can they not literally fall asleep onstage doing the same shit every tour? I see many bands every yrar and I have NEVER seen a band.. especially with their catalog. .played the same stuff over and over and over. I know I dont have to buy a ticket. So if they play this same setlist in USA, sadly this will be my last Aerosmith show. Been going since 1979

If you take out Janie, Cryin, Rag doll, and Jaded and replace them with some classics like Bone to Bone, Three mile smile, Rats and lord of the thighs you have a good set list In my opinion. I could be wrong but I have a feeling that they might change it up during the North American tour with Slash. But I really don't know how they never get bored playing those same four songs in every single show. I mean they have to get bored sometimes right? If they don't then I commend them on their passion lol.

Hey Rick. Thats a great point in the fact that with this horrendous set list they would have to drop 4 lame ducks and add 4 gems. Usually I say 2 songs need to be changed but other than walking the dog, this setlist needs a total overhaul. Talk about a broken record setlist.

Hey Rick. Thats a great point in the fact that with this horrendous set list they would have to drop 4 lame ducks and add 4 gems. Usually I say 2 songs need to be changed but other than walking the dog, this setlist needs a total overhaul. Talk about a broken record setlist. Yeah It could definitely use some changing up. But since the band seems to feel differently I just think that doing something simple like that would help. I mean they have SO much great material I just don't get how they play essentially the same songs, I understand that there are certain songs you just can't leave out of an Aerosmith show like sweet emotion, dream on, walk this way but other than those they should change it up more. I mean I understand that I don't wanna miss a thing is there biggest hit and there are people that want to hear it but in my opinion it's not a great live song. And I don't even hate the song I just think doing it in every show is just too much. And Rag doll, another song that I don't mind, I kind of like it, but in a live setting I think they can definitely choose better. When I see it in every set list I just shake my head a bit. Livin on the edge too, I do like the song, but why is it in 98% of their shows? Cut it down to 90% lol. Throw in seasons, woman of the world, Pandora's box, or lick and a promise, or even monkey on my back or F.I.N.E.
I will say that I feel like in the past two years that overall the set lists have gotten better. In the summer of 2012 they started to throw in some songs that they had not played in a while like Rats, and Lick and a promise, chip away at the stone, they teased us with a snippet of woman of the world, which is cool but they should keep heading down that path and change things up.
I play guitar and have been in a few bands and there are a lot of songs I love to play but I have to change it up. Even in my bands I kind of get sick of rehearsing the same songs and playing the same songs, it's fun to change it up, especially if you are already tight on certain songs. I think that these days your best bet as a band is to make a song, get the song tight and immediately record it so it has that great energy and enthusiasm. I know their situation is very different but I still feel that it can give a band some new energy or a bit of a spark when you play different songs, though I do think Aerosmith still plays with great energy regardless of the set list, especially for their age. Honestly set list aside I am happy that they are still even playing music together, there will never be another great rock band like them. I have never seen them live and I would if I had the money too, but there tickets are SO expensive.
