Last Friday, I saw this.
Went straight to the link, not fully aware of the fact it wasn't the 17th yet. Yeah, I know... typical Ana!
That plus the fact the website was in German, I got completely lost... so I asked for help navigating the damn thing on twitter and after a couple of answers, it finally hit me it was only the 13th of May. Oh, okay, wait until... Tuesday? Reasonable.
Now I may have said this before, but I don't normally do commercial work. I took an assignment in March and it worked pretty good as far as the tech part is concerned. Getting paid was a pain and it took twice as long for very stupid reasons... or maybe they just look stupid to me because I have no clue about how banking works.
But the tech part was encouraging, so I started chasing another assignment last night. Which sounds even further away from what I normally do, so I'm not getting my hopes up for the interview tonight, but I still started the day preparing for it. And then I got a message from someone in Germany saying he got a gift for me - the stamps! Oh, WOW!
Iconic MOTÖRHEAD frontman Lemmy Kilmister is being honored by the German postal service in the form of a range of stamps.
The collection is the result of a partnership between Deutsche Post and the German newspaper Bild.
Only available in Germany, a book of ten stamps can be purchased for €10 via the Bild web site.
The newspaper says: "The German official post office Deutsche Post together with Bild are honoring our beloved late Lemmy Kilmister with an official set of German postage stamps for standard-size letter.
"One stamp package contains ten stamps, five Lemmy motifs in total and everyone can compile the stamps the way they like.
"These stamps are limited to 7777 — Lemmy's lucky seven — and will be available for four weeks only, between May 17 and June 17."
