If you have Netflix, I highly recommend "The Fear of 13". I don't want to say too much, but it is the very moving true life story about a man who spent 21 years on death row for rape and murder, told by the man who lived it at the end of those 21 years.

Thanks for the reminder about the Exorcist. Forgot that was starting. Watching it now. I just finished it about 30 minutes ago. I thought it was pretty good, I'll definitely watch the next episode next week.

Same here. I like that it's a continuation of the world from the original movie and not a reboot or remake.

They had a show based on the movie "The Omen" last year called Damien. It was cast great and premise but maybe spent 21 minutes an episode on being creative and writing each. It was canceled.

I Wish Hollywood and the people in TV land would come up with an original idea or two. Enough remakes and retakes of ideas that were great because they were original unlike 90% of the shit being shuffled around today.

If you like horror check out the first episode if the Exorcist bartman. It was decent and it isn't a remake or reimagining. It's a five episode miniseries.

American Horror Story. One more episode in season 1, hopefully the 2nd season is just as good.
Oh, and I watched the entire 2nd season of The Ranch over the weekend. Really good dramady with Sam Elliot, Ashton Kutcher, Elisha Cuthbert, etc, etc..

Horror story is hit or miss. Personally I think season 2 was the best season next to the current season. Enjoy!

The Walking Dead. This is another one I avoided for years because frankly, a show about zombies sounds f'in stupid. Until, I heard about how after the current season opener people were going out of their minds with the 2 that were killed. A radio show was talking about how those who haven't seen the show should try to imagine some of their all time favorite characters being brutally killed off. They also were saying how they understand that some people aren't into the show and that is fine, but they need to realize that it's not a show about zombies, it's a show about people who are trying to make it and their relationships and interactions. The zombies are basically a background subplot compared to the main theme.
One week later, 4 seasons in and I'm devouring the series.
EDIT: Forgot to mention, to sum it up: this show reminds me of The Stand a lot.

The Dead Pool. This is the last of the Dirty Harry series. Its really good. Released in 1988 at the height of Appetite's craze. Axl makes and appearance and Welcome to the Jungle is used.
Also, has Jim Carey and Liam Neeson.
Good movie.

Only TV show that I have been able to keep up with religiously this season is ASH VS EVIL DEAD on Starz (this is season 2). Continuation of the 80s/early 90s Evil Dead horror/comedy/adventure films by Sam Raimi and starring Bruce Campbell. Really fun show, very R rated as well. If you know the Evil Dead films and love them, you'll love this. Over-the-top gore with a tongue-in-cheek performance from overly macho Bruce Campbell. Great, younger supporting cast too. Lucy Lawless as well. Sam Raimi has only directed a few episodes, but the whole show is clearly keeping Raimi style.
EDIT: Also keep up with the Last Man Standing sitcom starring Tim Allen. Always enjoyed him as a comedic dad in other projects and this one is no different. The show is currently in its fifth season and I've been watching since episode 1.
