With that enthusiasm it makes me wonder how different bagels and biscuits may be in Romania from their American counterparts? Maybe its just me, but biscuits are fairly boring whereas bagels in all their varieties are far more 'exciting' to me. Then again, maybe you just like biscuits and I think too much.

Always sunscreen! I'm freckled, so that's an obvious one... Dog breed type: big utility dog or purse-sized? With that enthusiasm it makes me wonder how different bagels and biscuits may be in Romania from their American counterparts? Maybe its just me, but biscuits are fairly boring whereas bagels in all their varieties are far more 'exciting' to me. Hmm, interesting. I tend to find bagels are pretty boring and don't have much variety. I mean, when I think of bagel, I think exactly this. Meh, not much variety, not that interesting. Biscuits on the other hand... OMG, there are the basic butter biscuits, with or without chocolate coating, with or without chocolate chips/ apple + cinnamon/ orange peel/ raisins/ a ton of other fruit bits, there are cocoa biscuits, there are mixed biscuits (where two halves, one plain and a cocoa one hug each other), there are filled biscuits where you can have a chocolate cream or an apple pie like filling inside the biscuit (and these can be mixed on the outside as well), there are all the Italian biscuits - amaretti (soft or hard or the Romanian version with walnuts instead of almonds), cantuccini (with chocolate or almonds or orange or figs), ricciarelli (simple or with cocoa) and so on. Then there are those Belgian thins with almond slivers. Oh, and those Austrian vanilla crescent thingies (Vanillekipferl). And the sandwich biscuits. Don't know if macaroons qualify as biscuits but there's still enough variety (listed above or that I forgot about). Just check out all the Leibniz (scroll down), Kambly, Sapori, Destrooper, Balocco (scroll down) varieties.

^ ah, that makes a bit more sense. Those images you linked to, I would classify all of them as cookies, not biscuits. And yes, they would trump a bagel for me. Generally in America, this is a biscuit: They are delicious with butter and a good meal, but not really anything I would get excited about. Bagels on the other hand, well...still not exciting, but certainly a step above these biscuits. Bagels can be blueberry, chocolate chip, 'everything' (one of my favorites, with egg between it), garlic, strawberry, etc. Your link did look like my expectation of a bagel though, so you obviously get it.

Never underestimate what delicious cream cheese (many flavors to choose from apart from the standard, which I also like, remember)
