Is the original band touring with him for the upcoming tour?
Nothing like that has been announced. At least not yet. That might change (or not). For these UK shows, the presence of the original band was only announced after the tickets had been on sale for some time.
Something I saw on social media is that when people were asking about the original band playing other shows, the answer was a maybe, watch this space. But nothing new has been announced since.
Just so that it's clear, it's not the full night with the original band, only 5 songs in total (out of 22, I believe).
Actually more than that, but gave away the rest... and I can tell you, the last girl I gave Alice money to was... oh, wow, extremely excited! The reaction was priceless, seriously...
Also, Tempodrom in Berlin is a fucking amazing venue!
And I got Department of Youth this time, as you can see...
They’ll tell you that they love you, like a spider loves a fly Promise you you’re safe, but never look you in the eye
^ The last Alice concert I went to, I printed out a bunch of Alice money before going, and at the venue I handed it out to random concert goers who were dressed up a bit, as was I, with full Alice makeup.
Ah heck, here's the money, and the ticket. Only $45 too!
But wow..9 years ago??
It was on Halloween though, so bonus!
These are from my 'ticket book', by the way. I have the ticket to every show I've been to in there. Except The Monkees show I was dragged to.
As an odd side note, the show was at a casino called Foxwoods, and I will be going there next Thursday/Friday for a business trip, and it will be the first time I've been there since Alice. It's about a 3 hour drive for me.
No, I couldn't find any billion dollar bills, oddly enough.

The last Alice concert you went to was 9 years ago? Shame, shame, shame!
Never thought of printing Alice dollars, lol. Mine have all been from his sword.
My ticket for Berlin was 52 euro. It's a decent price for me for a few reasons. One, Alice is a legend. Two, I love his music and he has a good band behind to put on great shows. Three, concerts back in Romania have been getting more and more expensive over the past few years, so I'doubt I'd see him cheaper back home.
I also keep all my tickets. In a book-shaped metallic box that was originally a tea box. I may have mentioned this before, but I'm not sure.

Yeah, yeah...not all of us fight our way to the stage's edge.
Not even an option in the US, actually. It was back at my first Aerosmith concert though, we were packed in there like sardines. If there had been a fire we'd be dead for sure.
Yeah, yeah...not all of us fight our way to the stage's edge.
Oh, I definitely wasn't making fun or judging, sorry if that's how it came across. I actually thought it was a very cool idea, since I'm pretty sure a lot of fans would appreciate it.
Oh, yeah, seated venues, I avoid them like the plague. I'm well aware that at a certain point, I won't be able to take it physically anymore, but as long as I can, I want an intense experience. And sitting doesn't go hand in hand with that, with how I manifest myself at shows.
I have seen Yngwie Malmsteen and Brian May at the Palace Hall, which is, just as the name suggests, the concert hall of a palace. All seats, non-removable. But it was a "may never get another chance to see live" kind of thing. And I still had trouble sitting in my seat.
I have wondered what it must be like at extreme metal shows in the US, isn't it dangerous to mosh with all the seats?
But one thing I am jealous of is how close the stage seems to be at these US venues. In Aerosmith live videos, there are people hi fiving Steven, touching Joe's guitar - seriously? Every time I've seen Aerosmith, you could have a car pass through the pit, the barrier was that far.
It was way better at these Alice shows. Though tiny pit is problematic when you have the press photographers there taking photos and you have to restrain your arm movements so you don't knock somebody's head. Which sadly I had to do last night for the first 4 songs and the fourth was Department of Youth...
It was back at my first Aerosmith concert though, we were packed in there like sardines. If there had been a fire we'd be dead for sure.
Yikes! The level of crowded has always been such a lottery for me. The Aero show in Munich was crazy, resulted in so much bruising. I've been at death metal shows where there was a lot of crowd surfing, there was a mosh pit behind me and I didn't get hit like I got hit at that show. I was expecting even worse in Berlin and... surprise, it was super relaxed!
Both Alice shows this autumn were relaxed as well. Not crowded. Towards the end of the show in Berlin, there was a girl behind who was leaning her fist against the barrier in between me and the guy next to me, so I just took her hand and put it on the barrier so she grab onto it properly if she needed that. I had the room to do that. The Tempodrom venue also had quite a few exits, so it could have probably been evacuated pretty fast.

Not at all. From my point of view though, the 100th row is just as good as stage side. As long as I'm there, I'm a happy camper.

Alice Cooper to Star in NBC’s Live ‘Jesus Christ Superstar’ Musical Dave Lifton December 8, 2017
Alice Cooper, the son of a preacher, is set to put his religious upbringing to the test. He's going to portray King Herod in made-for-TV production of the Andrew Lloyd Webber/Tim Rice musical Jesus Christ Superstar. Directed by five-time Tony Award nominee David Leveaux, Jesus Christ Superstar Live will air on NBC, fittingly, on Easter Sunday, April 1, 2018.
It will be the second time Cooper has portrayed the king, whose sole number is "King Herod's Song (Try it and See)." A recording that was released in 2000 featured Cooper, in the same role, joining the cast of a 1996 London revival of the show.
Alice Cooper Performs "King Herod's Song (Try it and See)"
“Alice Cooper, whose theatricality is the stuff of legend, is the perfect rock star to play Herod in our live production,” Robert Greenblatt of NBC Entertainment said (via The Hollywood Reporter). “Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice wrote a showstopping musical number for Herod, and we all look forward to the ‘King of Shock Rock’ taking on the King of Judea. As the casting for Superstar ramps up, we can feel the excitement building for this brand new concert experience of what has long been considered the original rock musical.”
Back in 2014, former Sex Pistol John "Johnny Rotten" Lydon, who famously called himself the Antichrist in "Anarchy in the U.K.," had signed on to play King Herod in a production of Jesus Christ Superstar that had planned to tour arenas across North America. However, the entire tour was scrapped less than two weeks before the first performance.
Interviewer to Angus Young: “how does it feel to be the best rock guitarist in the world?” Angus: “I don’t know about that, I’m not even the best guitarist in the band.”
