Started Robert Charles Wilson's "Vortex." It is the third book of the Spin series. Liking it a a lot, as I did the first two books. The books are tangentially related, but each is its on story, not just a continuation of the previous book.

Right now I'm reading Love & War: Twenty Years, Three Presidents, Two Daughters and One Louisiana Home by James Carville and Mary Matalin. I'm almost halfway through. Fascinating couple.

Started David Brin's "Existence." Only 10 pages in and I haven't picked up for two days. Hm.... I generally like this author, but it seems he is trying too hard in the first few pages. I will get back to it. It is a long book, so maybe I am just avoiding pulling the trigger and really getting going.

It has become a really good read.

American CriminalRay Burnside is a good cop working on a drug force tactical team with bad partners. When his corrupt partners set him up and send him to prison, he has to reach deep inside for his primitive survival instincts to stay alive. Nietche's famous quote, "That which does not kill us makes us stronger” comes into play as Burnside develops deadly skills in prison that he never imagined he would ever possess. Fighting his way up the prison hierarchy, Burnside becomes an engine of annihilation. After a daring prison escape, Burnside’s prison connections set him up with illegal employment. Now he is heavily armed and possesses the deadly skills required for revenge. The cops who set him up are in for a rude awakening as they face the ultimate American Criminal.

The Long Earth by Terry Prachett and Stephen Baxter. Have never read Practhcett, but have really enjoyed several of Baxter's books. Just under halfway and am quite entertained. Though I just learned there are two others in the series, with 5 total planned. I really didn't want to get into a series of five books. Should have done my homework first.

Joe's Book, I got it for Christmas, I'm loving it!!! And I happen to think that if you listen to the albums while reading the book, it kinda brings a new side to the songs, I did it with Walk This Way, Steven and Joey's books and it was a blast!

Just finished Mars Life by Ben Bova. A light read, but enjoyable. Just began Anathem by Neal Stephenson. It is a behemoth of a book, but now that i am about 180 pages in, don't want to put it down.

Just finished Clockwork Angels by Keven J Anderson, based on Neil Pearts Lyrics/Story from the Rush album of the same name. My son got it for me for Christmas. A fun read that did hold my attention. I am now encouraging my son to read it.
Just started the Great North Road by Peter F Hamilton. A Sci-Fi Detective Story. 180 pages in and it is pretty good. Looking forward to seeing where this one goes.

Just finished The Great North Road by Peter F Hamilton. It was a page turner with a very involved plot line. Really Good.
Going to start the Silicon Dagger by Jack Williamson. Ready for a shorter book.

Finished Silicon Dagger. It was okay. The plot moved along a little to quickly for its own good with an ending that did nothing for me. Started the Pillars of the Earth by Ken Follett, a book my father leant me and really wanted me to read. It is set in medieval times (1100s) and has immediately drawn me in. 110 pages in and I look forward to each spare moment I can pick it up.

Well, been awhile since anyone posted. I have still been reading, but only somewhat regularly. A few books that were really good included: Alastair Reynolds--Terminal World. Timothy Zahn--Conquerors' Pride Walter John Williams: Dread Empires Fall, Conventions of War Currently reading Charles Stross' Accelerando. Can't really get into this one and haven't picked it up in over a week. What has everyone else been reading?
