^ So why are we discussing politics in an article about music? Moving this so those who don't want to hear about it don't have to. Good point. Now that we're in the proper forum, let the bitching continue!

Seems Douglas wants his book to be about everything in his life, but music........so he says in the article above. As someone who followed him on FB I can tell you everything else is politics, so look for his book in that section of the book store, or iTunes.
My post above, the others, Not worth anyone getting upset. An over reaction. God knows I over react in my life so I guess I can forgive others for doing it too.

Same debate that's been happening on AF1 ever since I joined 10 years ago when certain folks would always get their tail feathers ruffled whenever we said anything about Steven.
The people who say folks have the "right" to do or say whatever they want (which I agree with if it's legal*) often happen to be the same folks who claim we shouldn't bitch about it. Free speech but without free speech in return.
* Disclaimer: having the "right" to do something isn't the same as being the right thing to do. Big difference there.

I only agreed with someone else political post to begin with I'll shut up after this. Of course Douglas has his right to post about politics on any forum he wants. But he cannot expect no backlash when he post dozens upon dozens of anti Trump shit and very little about music which is why most people would follow him.
I think he feels since he is or was a great record producer that his political and probably other opinions carry some greater weight than others. Like many other famous to semi famous people do as well. His 9000 anti Trump post changed no one's mind that did not agree with him.
That's enough of that like I said I'll shut up now. No offense to anyone here btw just disagreeing vehemently that's all. And I apologize I did not intend to hijack the thread and turn it political but I had more than a little to do with that.

Exactly, I always like to use the analogy of I have a “right” to go out in below zero weather in shorts and a t-shirt, but that doesn’t mean I should. It also doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences like in this case, freezing to death.

It also doesn’t mean there won’t be consequences like in this case, freezing to death. Another example is me walking down the street in my skivvies. Then when some neighbor complains, I just tell her to close her window blinds. Then again if she's hot, I may invite her to join me - in her skivvies, of course

What has Douglas done of any notability in the last 10 years? Did this interview tell or will the book tell us anything we didn't already Know?
I thought his work on Michael Monroe's Sensory Overdrive record was outstanding. The album sounded great, and revitalized Monroe's career. That was 2011, so I had high hopes for Music From Another Dimension, but we all know how that turned out.
