Intentional or due to the two being next to each other on the keyboard? Does anyone here have the album with the Walkin' the Dig mistake? Intentional of course

Was anyone at this show? What happened here? This had to be technical difficulties, I'm just not sure why they didn't get it straightened out sooner. Here's Toys, which was 3 songs later and he sounds great.

It definitely looks like it's an issue with the guitar. Most fans on other forums seem to think so. Some select comments That was AWESOME !!!!
Finally the polish and clearcoat falls off and we get a performance that mirrors the classic 70's Aerosmith most of us want and yet people complain. They are actually listening to each other and trying to keep the band on track. THAT is what I love. The autopilot has been removed.
Joe was fighting with a lefty Strat (with no trem-locking system) and the rest of his gear, yet gloriously made it through the tune.
Has anyone ever listened to the beautiful trips and falls of the first two Aerosmith albums before they started abusing multi-tracking as much as the drugs the put into their systems ?
Not nutswinging at all. Just happy that it's raw and real.
If Joe's health is in question, maybe this is what is keeping him upright.
All hail Joe !!!!
If you want perfect go watch Dream Theater or some shit. I'll take sloppy, real rock n roll ala Aerosmith, GnR, NY Dolls, etc any day... ________________________________________________________________
I appreciate mistakes at rock concerts more than most because I’m sick and tired of being at shows where I don’t hear a single mistake by anyone the entire two hours. Fake isn’t cool.
But this isn’t either. It’s not cool to show up drunk/fucked up to work when you’re pushing 70. Aerosmith shows in the 70s were not on the north end of $500 per ticket. Aerosmith were in their 20s when they were this sloppy, and it had an air of badassery to it. There’s nothing badass or edgy or cool about being this fucked up at his age.
Also, a big LOL at this ‘he was playing a weird Strat’ bullshit excuse. He literally has to riff on an open D chord for the entire song other than the solo and the bridge, and he was too sloppy fucked up to even handle that much.
This isn’t about rock n’ roll excess or the rawness of mistakes at a live show. It’s about a dude up there in years who is in no shape to be performing right now._______________________________________________________________________ I mean, it kinda just sounds like Joe Perry. He did fuck up in the intro, and that’s out of character, but the rest is pretty much normal. Like others said, he’s super high up in the mix, so you can really hear every fuckup.
Obviously, I’m a nutswinger, but I don’t even think it’s that bad, outside of fucking up early on. Joe’s never been the one carrying the song. He’s the groove on top of Brad’s foundation. He’s really not supposed to be the only thing you hear.
I’m more annoyed by the clearly visible teleprompter. Joe’s playing is about the only thing left in Aerosmith with any authenticity.

I fucking loved this clip. Sounded and looked like 70’s Aerosmith when they kicked ass. Might have to drive to Vegas now and see for myself

Joe has sounded AMAZING, polished and sharp at any of the shows I have attended. Last night in Vegas was no exception. He improvised a little on dude and did some variations to the solo. So good and kick ass. He was a mess in 2010 but apparently he and Steven were snorting percocet pills back then.
My favourite Joe Perry show must be Zurich 2017. He was so into his game that nigh he had more charisma than the rest of the band put together and his playing was again wonderful.
I haven't checked these "fucked up" videos as I have skipped spoilers until today. In the next days I will catch up with what has gone down in Vegas so far. I noticed setlist has been the same except from Walking the dog appearing during an encore which was great. I wish I had it as I've never heard it live although it's not my favourite song. They really should keep this extra slot in the encore otherwise the show is too short!
Anyway I recorded plenty of videos. Quality won't be super great as I was far away but I guess you get a good view of the stage and lights. In person it looked much closer but again I missed the live cam on the big screen, that's always been so bad ass with those shakey close ups!
Just finished up watching my videos, without the hype and adrenaline you have being there in person, I can frankly tell it was a bad show. Steven didn't sound good neither on vocals nor harmonica, Joe fucked up the Dude solo and didn't sound good on WTW either, the sax mic fail, the awful piano playing, the terrible rendition of Dreams On where Steven talks to the crew f bombing people because he has issues in his hears like if that's the reason he can't play and sing well a song he's been doing for almost 50 years. Plus the weak and short setlist. I also heard Tom playing better and having more fun. Only Brad and Joey were fully on point.
In all honesty you can actually skip this gig unless you can make it fall into a bigger plan but going to Vegas just for Vegas and the show? No. The expensive and elaborate stage lights and and sound system are super treats I won't deny that but at this point they make up for the show rather than enhancing it. I'm a bit sad today as I'm not happy about their performance now that the live experience excited has ended.

Thank you. Unfortunately I forgot my professional mic so audio comes and go I'm a bit pissd. K&Q was great although some vocals weren't in full voice but in falsetto. He still did amazing variations harmonising with Buck which was new and nice. Of course Brad ripped the solo. Honestly I preferred the 2015 versions of the songs, if was more powerful. The backdrop video here also didn't do nothing for me I wished there was a live cam to see Brad, Tom and Steven more.

Anyone else notice that the "bad" videos are being removed from YouTube...Joe's Livin on the Edge for example but the good performances are staying up. They used to remove ALL videos from YouTube but now just the ones that show something not quite right.

Well they're gonna remove my dream on and Dude then? Let's see. Edge sounded OK usually they lose themselves a little at the beginning.
I didn't record Mama Kin but I remember Steven lost his cue in the beginning so they kept playing the intro for a while, kinda sounded like high school band rehashing. Honestly it wasn't a strong show.

Honestly it wasn't a strong show. We must've been at different shows on Sunday. A few flubs, sure, but that didn't make for a weak performance, imo. That's live. We were pretty close to the stage, and disappointment wasn't on the tab at night's end. Auto Pilot disappoints me far more than bum notes, and they certainly didn't engage that on Sunday. They seemed loose and in the moment. No critical eye cast from our seats, but different strokes, I suppose.
