I think Joey sounded great. Was a bit worried if he could keep up tempo in a fast song, but he did a great job imo. But I think the rest of the mix sounded off. I could barely hear the bass and rhythm guitar.

Idk if anyone has watched videos from the last couple of shows with Kramer back but man the guy is killing it. He hasn't played this well in years. Grooving, tempos are perfect, no short cuts, he is doing fills he hasn't done in forever. Tasty af. Plus, he looks a lot better. WTF these guys said he was incapable of drumming two weeks ago? Good for Kramer showing them all where to go... He is as solid as it gets when it comes to drumming.

I noticed he played better than in April 2019 too! I'm so happy what a comeback at 69. We should all be proud of him, I'm starting to believe there was no physical injury, at least not a serious one, and it was all because of drugs/mental health and so he was kept away until he got sober/better. Either way I'm glad he's back and steady as usual. Now I'm relieved for the European shows. Hope they're gonna ditch the piano for dream on and move it earlier in the set to allow Steven to deliver better vocals on it.
Pink was groovy too. Omg I didn't remember this back up singer. She's pretty loud and not a good addiction IMHO.

There must have been something really serious we don't know about, he plays like a damn devil and it is a fucking great comeback indeed. I so look forward to seeing them this year!

These early 2020 gigs with joey are very strong IMHO and already sound better than the 2019 shows. I hope they will have time to rehearse something new before may/June. If I get to listen to 3/4 new songs I haven't experienced live before I'll be a happy fan. The songs I'm dying to hear live the most are probably:
One Way Street Big Ten Inch Record Sick As A Dog Milk Cow Blues
And I also would like to hear a few songs again like:
Same Old Song And Dance No More No More Last Child Rats In The Cellar Draw The Line Let The Music Do The Talking Pink Baby Please Don't Go Oh Yeah Freedom Fighter

My experience was OK,the crowd seemed into the gig, lot of beer and cheering and singing. Maybe not to last child but the popular songs got a big response as usual but it's the nature of the venue that forces you to sit and stand still. GA outdoor venues or arena pits are the way to go imho. Also the theatre is small so 3/5K people aren't as loud as 15K+

Maybe not to last child but the popular songs got a big response Odd. Last Child always seems to get people dancing at the shows I have been to. I would say it is one of their better known 70's songs here in the States.

I know someone who went to see Guns in a Vegas theatre and the Americans were throwing stuff at her for standing up. Shameful Rock fans

Last child is always great live and you can always see people headbanging to it but it's really not a sing a long song for most of the crowd apart from the home sweet home line. But it's always nice to have it in the set, one of the best live songs they have.
As for the lame crowd I don't know if it's cultural or not, I think that the venue type is the biggest influence over the crowd's response. If it's a small. Cozy, intimate theatre where even the front of stage seats have chairs then of course people is gonna be more comfortable and less jumpy. That didn't apply to my live experiences in Japan where even in small 3k capacity halls with premium chairs and acoustic performance the fans jump, sing and scream like crazy all the time apart from the ballad/acoustic moments in the set. Then they all sit and enjoy in silence.
