As much as I would like to see these again, and M&G, I think we'll be giving it a miss... hopefully will not be the last chance to see either Alice or Joe on stage!

Correct me, if I am wrong - you live in the UK, don't you? I think all the shows in the UK have seats, which is just ridiculous But they also have Primal Fear as a support, which is a nice band... I am actually thinking about Oberhausen or some UK show.

Yes I am in the UK and it is the seating that puts me off. You end up paying a huge amount of money (£250 each) to get reasonably close to the front. Alternatively, pay £1300 each for M&G and still don’t get front row!
Buy “normal” tickets and you’re half a mile away, and as it’s blocks of seats you cannot move around to get a better position. Get someone tall in front of you and you’re totally screwed for the entire gig!
Then it’s hotels, transport, dog kennels, babysitter... it soon becomes a much more expensive endeavour.
So it’s a case of saving the money for now (well, not spending it!) and seeing what other gigs get announced in the next year or two. I suspect there will be an official “last tour” from Alice, and maybe even another set of festival shows from Aerosmith, if they can tear themselves away from Vegas that is!
And as was pointed out, knowing my luck, if I book myself in for this, that is when Crüe will announce a UK tour and we haven’t managed to see them live yet... 🤔

I love some of their stuff (Nuclear Fire, Seven Seals) and I know that Mat Sinner is a huge Alice fan and that Alice has been involved with his Rock meets Classic shows, but... I just can't wrap around my head around them opening for the Vampires. Oh, damn, just checked... it's not them. It's Primal Scream from Scotland. That explains it.

Fun stage show, but you can get that at any carnival for less money. Whoever picked the "hot" chicks they have on stage must be blind and their sound man must be deaf.

Oh and by the way - I just checked and you don't get to pick your seats. You can only choose "best available" (nobody knows what the f*** they mean by "best") and the system picks something for you. So I guess it's Oberhausen or nothing. There you can at least choose where you want to be. And they have Golden Circle. Standing.

But stepson is quite in to them now and it would be as much for him than anyone else!

It tells you what you have been allocated so you can go in and look where they are. And when we saw them before we were front row so stood at the barrier despite being “seated” ... however I know if we pay full m&g price and sit two rows back by the time the band come on we won’t be able to get right to the barrier... (Sit any further back and that’s where you’re stuck)

Left me looking like a creature from the depths of Hell. Never felt so safe returning home from a show late at night. Never had so much space around me on the bus either.

I tried Leeds and Glasgow but couldn't get too close so didn't bother. I'll try nearer the time. I did that with The Who a few years ago and got 2nd row a week before the show

OK, so I did play with the idea of seeing Vampires next year and I decided to thoroughly check out the UK shows. And here's what I found: With the system they have in place now, standard 60 GBP seats are crap. I mean, no offence, they are fine if that's what you want, but since I usually aim for the first row - they are useless to me. M&G package is 1200 GBP and most likely gets you first row seats. By the way - M&G for London is sold out (unless "Oh No! There are currently no tickets available. Please try again." means something else). And then VIP packages (that would get you front side section seats. Keep in mind it might not even be front center section!) are 230 GBP. For row J or something... J for joke, I guess... So the bottom line for me is: as much as I would like to see them, perhaps no HV in 2020 for me. And ABSOLUTELY, TOTALLY, DEFINITELY not in the UK. I can't stand sitting (pun intended) on a rock concert in some far away row. In 30 years perhaps, not now. And I am also not paying 1200 GBP. Who the fuck got so brainless and greedy out there?! I guess that's what pillis meant... No more expensive seats for old people please. ...along with anaix3l it felt like a rich people's club Germany might be an option, with STANDING Golden Circle, reasonable prices, etc etc... But add to that 2x100 EUR for flights, hotels etc... Aaaaand this is no longer reasonable. Too bad, too bad indeed...

I don't care about HV so can't really add much to the conversation here.
Usually for concerts I try to book places I'd like to visit or where I have connections with friends. I had friends in Berlin in 2017 to see Aerosmith but honestly I ended up regretting that. Germany sucks, sorry but that's my opinion so you won't see me attending another concert over there, hell to the no.
So just go wherever you wanna go and your wallet can afford. As long as you can pair a brief touristic activity to the concert all is good.
