/?d=n I didn’t think DTL was going to make it. It’s a solid beast of 70’s era Aerosmith hard rock.

DTL, which I do like, is easily their worst output of the 70's. Objectively it should not be that high on the list. Let"there Be Rock and Muddy Water's Hard Again should be much higher. That said these lists, which incidentally I hate, are dime a dozen and are really not authoritive on anything.

DTL is amazing. I honestly think it's better than Rocks. It's messy but that's what's cool about it. It features Steven and Joe raw talent but it saw the light of day thanks to Tom, Brad and Joey's contribution. It's really a team effort despite the chaos that was going on in the studio/villa. It sounds nasty and well...illegal, with that very unsavoury title. Rock n roll at its finest. 77 was a time when hard rock was already eclipsing in favour of soft rock (Fleetwood Mac, iconic!), horrid proto metal and disco (I'd take Donna Summer anyway instead of Iron Maided, sorry not sorry) and pop so DTL was really a hard hitting record for that time.

LOL I've always showed love for DTL here, I don't think it's gonna surprise anyone.

I enjoy DTL greatly and I think it is indeed a great album. However I dare not rate it against other gems like Rocks or Toys. Although I might enjoy the other two just a tad bit more. Not sure though

Toys In The Attic > Draw The Line > Rocks GYW > Aerosmith > Night In the Ruts > Rocks > DTL > Toys That is probably my 70's ranking.. NITR and Rocks could be interchangeable

I will put Aerosmith's 70s albums up against any other band, any decade, all time. I love every single album and pretty much every song on each album. Powerful, dirty, lyrics. These albums are what really turned me on to music in general and opened me up to the diverse taste I have now. My spotify list is all over the place. But it is this decade by these guys that is still the best of all time.
