They may do 3 UK shows in 2021 but it's impossible to get a ticket for Glastonbury And because they moved the shows to fit around the new Glastonbury date it means there’s two gigs in three days for me as it is, Aerosmith in London on the Wednesday and Green Day in London on the Friday! Had anticipated them being the same weekend in July as this year, so cancelled my Ramblin Man tickets hoping to be able to catch Aerosmith in Manchester on the Saturday... c’est la vie... Ah you're doing Green Day too. I'm considering Green Day. Glasgow is closer for me or even that Rock N Roll town Huddersfield. I need to wait for Guns N' Roses new dates first and them twats always keep you waiting.

Yeah GnR were a bit shit with the last minute cancellation, hope they don’t have a last minute rebooking date! There’s so much going to clash now, especially with some bands shifting dates ... I’d heard Green Day were basically following the Motley Crue tour around America, same venues just a few days later, so the venues would be already set up ready for them. So then that tour depends on the other tour and both need rearranging in tandem... quite a lot of hassle I guess!

They were due to play Tottenham stadium in May but with the football season starting later it probably won't be available in May or even June 2021. I wonder if the GNR Management have heard of Huddersfield?

Why is ticketcorner from Switzerland only selling tickets with expensive shipping? I want the e-ticket, also the golden circle is more xpensive now? Or was it already 170CHF? Anyway just got a golden circle ticket for Zurich, I'm positive next summer is gonna be much safer, anyway I don't want to stress too much, if they cancel again whatever.... Hope to meet some of you there!

Hope to meet some of you there! You did?! Damn, man, don't tempt me! I would be really happy to go, but haven't decided yet. 170 CHF is not cheap, but I have totally AMAZING memories from Zurich (concert-wise and in general - lovely place). Would be a great opening act for the whole European Tour 2021. I will see, perhaps I will bite the bullet at some point

I was already spending a lot on skincare so might as well spend these extra pennines on Aerosmith I don't care at this point. All this anxiety after these past months and the uncertainty of the future...I Just want to have something exciting to look for next year.
I also checked the ticket, it is 10CHF more than in 2017 so it's not that inflated for Swiss standards. Train italy-zurich is cheaper than train Italy-paris, accommodation is also cheaper and more decent. Zurich is small and not as tempting as Paris where you actually wanna spend more time being a tourist which means spending more money. I don't mind going back, Switzerland is a beautiful country.

Glastonbury 2021 has been cancelled!
I’m sure a secret show at Glastonbury wouldn’t have been the only reason Aerosmith would be touring Europe this year, but if a large festival like that is making the call to cancel with 5 months still to go... ☹️

Nevertheless the news still feels like the dagger of reality plunging thru the heart of the hopefulness of the return of live music. The news, for me, is the harsh reality that almost certainly that I won't be getting my Stones show this year.

Cases and deaths here in the States just started trending down and I don't see any reason for that trend to not continue.. Vaccine distribution started slow but it is picking up.

Until enough people are vaccinated for “herd immunity” to work, we will still need to social distance. And the new strains might prove to be resistant to some of the vaccines which might mean we’re back to square one until everyone gets a “working” one

And in the meanwhile, nobody is getting any younger. This time is lost and we're never getting it back.

And in the meanwhile, nobody is getting any younger. This time is lost and we're never getting it back. I know. Meanwhile in Australia and New Zealand, where they enforced strict lockdowns from the off, life is kinda back to normal. They have gigs and crowded sporting events. As soon as there’s one case of community transmission they know where it came from. Here in the U.K. we’ve passed 100,000 deaths and there’s no sign of let up, yet some people still refuse to wear masks at the store...

Spotted yesterday: "Covid isn't over just because you are over Covid"
Sad but true.

Nevertheless the news still feels like the dagger of reality plunging thru the heart of the hopefulness of the return of live music. The news, for me, is the harsh reality that almost certainly that I won't be getting my Stones show this year. Dang... can't say that I am very surprised, but a little? I guess so... Probably because I was hoping that this year we will get back to normality (more or less at least). But now I guess that it is likely that other festivals and promoters will follow suit shortly after, because they (Glastonbury) wouldn't cancel on a whim, so they must have had some solid reasons. My guess is that it's mostly young(ish) people that go to these shows and they will be the last ones to get vaccinated, so they either won't attend or won't even be allowed to. And they would have to be allowed to return their tickets and get a refund, so it would be a total loss for the organizers... I know the vaccination progress isn't as fast as most hoped for and I'd say it's nobody's fault, pun intended, but it is still disappointing and messes up all the plans yet again. And on top of that is what we all know and what anaix3l said: nobody's getting any younger. Especially the bad boys from Boston. Speaking of which - I wonder if they will cancel / reschedule the 50th Anniversary show or will they try to make this one happen still...? At this point it doesn't matter to me if it's one or two years later than should be, and since they moved it to Tuesday (why would anyone do that?!) instead of Friday and because I am in a much less mobile position this year (apart from Covid, that is) I'd probably hope they reschedule again. But will they still be willing and able to rock next year? By the way - there's also a lot of tickets still available, so it seems it's not selling out as nicely as they would like.
