Playing on AXS channel on cable if any one has an issue seeing it. In this series of Breaking the band there always seems to be a new fact or two in each one I watch.

I've watched the first 40 minutes, up to the 1979 breakup. Not as bad as I thought it would be. Nothing in it I don't know already, except a small tidbit from one of the band's old photographers: "I looked onstage and Joe was slacking off in his playing, as if he was bored. And Steven comes over and hocks a loogie at him." Which just sounds like classic Twins banter to me

I added Reelz to my Roku, but they want $1.99/month and I'm too cheap to pay up. I've spent the past couple hours trying to find a way to watch this with no luck. I figured since it first aired months ago there would be some on demand option (whether legal or not). The $1.99 app doesn't appear to have either a live feed or this episode on demand. Only the first few episodes from season 2 are available. The channel is not available on Youtube TV which I subscribe to. The only option outside of cable is Sling TV, and even then it's not in the base package and requires a $6 addon on top of the $35 monthly fee. None of the pirate streams have this channel or series either, so the wait continues.

Well I had two IPTV services set up to record at the same time, one manages 20mins before it quit out, the other got the full 2hours! Am doing a quick convert to mp4 then will stick a link to it in my profile or something. Will be hosted from my own broadband connection, but I do have 100Mbit upload speeds 😉
(Will include all adverts etc as literally converting ts file directly rather than spending any time downloading tools to do the editing needed)

A HUGE THANKS to redvers76 , I was finally able to watch this. Solid documentary that did a good job telling the bands story. I've heard most of it before, but a few tidbits I didn't recall. First was the part about Joe visiting the band in Worcester in 82, doing heroin with Steven before the show, then basically being chased off by the rest of the band and crew who blamed him when Steven passed out on on stage. I always thought his first time meeting up with Aerosmith after leaving was at an 84 Worcester show that he and Brad attended. It was also interesting hearing from Tim Collins. They let him say his piece, and both he and the documentary were fair to the band. For contributors with first hand knowledge, it was Collins, a former tour manager, and Ray Tabano. Then they had Eddie Trunk, a few 'rock writers' and a groupie. They had archive interviews with the band and were able to use their music throughout. Less embellished than the usual Aerosmith story, but it wasn't exploitive either. This one went over the troubles before 9 Lives more than any other documentary that I recall. I read about it all between 23-25 years ago, but it was a good refresher on it.

Funnily enough the VLC conversion process didn't work - it was just doing the audio stream. In the end I had to drop into command line and run ffmpeg; there were a couple of frame errors so hopefully it worked okay!
(easier said than done. I had promised myself I was going to have a laptop free day on Sunday which meant that I was doing it all from my mobile phone over Remote Desktop! Including trying to get it to copy to the raspberry pi that is acting as a web server!)

Size wise the compression was good as HD DVRs tend to use about 6GB an hour, so the converter worked well getting the 2 hour video down under 2GB. That probably took some time and CPU power. The audio and video remained synced up the whole time, so the rip was excellent. Thanks again!
