Yes but how is Steven the solo decision maker? Do you think it's in a legal contract? Or just like, he's the most famous so he gets too, type thing? Sad. The second one. He is a spoiled brat that they can't do without.

A show without Brad and I am not interested. Very under rated part of Aerosmith. Glad I saw them back in the day.

I thought I had chimed in on this, but I guess not. I think some of you guys read into it all a little too much. People have good days and bad days; days where they are ready to quit their job, and days where they're reminded why the love what they do. COVID-19 has gotten EVERYBODY down about EVERYTHING.
I have a feeling Brad got asked the wrong question on the wrong day. Sure, it might be true that he (or the whole band) don't have the same passion they once did. And they've been at it for half a century, so who can blame them? But at the same time, this is ALL these guys know. And if they've managed this long, through every hangover, drug binge, divorce, lawsuit, media-fueled feud, and the ever changing but always difficult music business in general, I truly don't think Aerosmith will ever be over until one of them dies. And even THEN - honestly - I think there's a good chance the Aerosmith name will continue until Tyler dies.
Also - let's not forget that only weeks ago Tom acted like the band is in the early stages of putting together a collection of unreleased material.

Many people go to their job every day but don't really want to be there anymore. Brad will be no exception when he's right there at the next show.

Yes but how is Steven the solo decision maker? Do you think it's in a legal contract? Or just like, he's the most famous so he gets too, type thing? Sad. Basically, yes, Steven calls the shots, because he is the lead singer. If (for whatever reason) he doesn't like the songs the band wants to play, at the end of the day, they don't play them. The best example is the last 10 tours' setlists, give or take 2/3 songs a night, they are THE SAME setlists over and over again. If Steven doesn't want to sing, they can't put on a show of 50 minutes of instrumental performances and 40 minutes of Steven singing

Hi all, been a while. Hope you all are doing well. Hattah showed the radio interview to me. My thoughts, which don't matter, no media outlets covered this and the band made no statement. Nothing to worry about. This is a guy who loves to rock just fed up with the pop band and drama his hard rock band turned into. Maybe Brad had a difficult phone call with a band member or management prior to the interview. Fact of the matter is after 50 years he earned his right to be a little salty now and then. Anyway, hope you all are safe and happy!

Random thoughts from nowhere:
-Brad is an inextricable part of the band. He can't be replaced. He is part of the formula. The Main Vein...and he carried the band on Draw The Line! -As someone mentioned, he could have been having a bad day and these thoughts came tumbling out. We all are dealing with stress/anxiety with this COVID thing. -Was interesting he noted the band's approach to music changed when they started trying to write radio hits. -As the band ages, it might be best to jettison the whole rock star, arena approach and strip down the shows to theaters and auditoriums, play some acoustic, bring out special guests from the band's past, etc. An evening with Aerosmith kind of thing. Age gracefully, yet still have a presence. -This idea that Brad would change his tune for the money doesn't ring true. How much more money do any of them need? -Lastly, and this is more tongue in cheek, if Brad does go, Rick Dufay is around! He contributed to the last album session and isn't afraid of Tyler, if you know some of the history there, lol.
