I have the audio from this release (got it from a bootleg years ago) as well as the VHS release. Tracks from this release pop up on my car stereo often. Honestly, it's not a great performance. There are live performances on Video Scrapbook that are way better than any track on Texxas Jam. I hope that they release some 70's shows on DVD/CD in the near future. I bet there are some great live show recordings stashed in the Aerosmith vault that would make for a great Live Boxed Set or something.

This is one of my favorite DVDs to watch.. Sometimes I think you need the visual to capture the true essence of a performance.. Guns N' Roses live at the Ritz 88 is my favorite all time show to watch from anyone... Only the DVD though.. They were sloppy at times that night but when you watch it you can just see and feel all the energy and insanity.. I have the Vinyl and it isn't as enjoyable at times..

I love Texas Jam video. True, it is a bit sloppy at places, but it shows Aerosmith in its heyday playing many of their best songs in “vintage” condition. I read there were even more songs that were not included (Thighs, etc.?). Also, I like the clips between the songs. Now at age 60, it reminds me of the “good old days”. Wish I could live them again

I always cherished both it and Video Scrapbook. It's not like there was ever a ton of official 70's footage available.
Those two were it.
Texxas Jam = burnt out, but what a setlist!
I don't believe some massive stash of unseen 70's footage exists. All the most well known footage as been around for decades (Houston77, Largo77 etc), so maybe a cleaned up official of one of those is possible. I'll say this though: if there is any gold stashed away, now is the time it'll materialize. No touring, dry revenue streams...
