This. These guys could care less about the fans and obviously have zero desire to get in a room and play together again. There is no reason to not play this show with how successful the vaccine roll out has been and things opening up...

I can't say I am surprised they are putting all their shows off until 2022 with the work ethic of this band over the past few years. I know, I know, they owe us nothing and believe me I agree, they have nothing to prove at this point. I just do not see it very likely these guys going on a massive tour NEXT year. I mean Kramer could hardly make it through a show and that was two years ago... It just seems like the more and more they put stuff off the less likely it will happen. This will be the third Fenway date...

The longer they put it off, the less likely all 5 guys will be healthy enough to play. Just about every other band is dying to book shows for the Summer/Fall and doing it.

That's a shame, hopefully it's not health related. I was hoping they would at least take a wait and see approach if they had concerns about playing full capacity shows, they'd have over 3 months to see how things play out.
Maybe they owe Vegas shows, and committing to this would put them on the hook for those? Or perhaps they are just being lazy again.

I had hoped they would wait longer to reschedule too, if they're concerned about seating capacity. I really don't think COVID will be as much of an issue for them as it would have been last year, assuming vaccinations and other precautions are taken. Truthfully, I'm a little skeptical about the Vegas dates coming back. They've been up in the air so long... and there's likely some sort of contract or agreement with MGM that makes show rescheduling difficult. If I remember correctly, it's only a handful of dates that were cut off. We'll have to see, but I don't know if they would cancel those dates simply because there were so few and the process of rescheduling is a hassle.

Absolutely no reason for this. I replied to Joe’s instagram that what happens in the almost 2 years from now if one or more of the band members aren’t around or are unable to play? We have live shows going on here now so there is no excuse. Texas, Florida, Georgia, all have full capacity sports venues. Heck even Fenway Park will be full capacity this week!
The guys are all in their 70s and aren’t getting any younger. If they don’t want to play anymore, just say it and don’t string everyone along. I know the guys have all the money they and their kids and grandkids will ever need and they probably all got used to having the time off and being with their families watching their kids and grandkids grow up and I don’t blame them. Just stop stringing everyone along.
