Ok my vinyls arrived today: toys, rocks and dtl. I consider these 3 records Aerosmith's unholy tirlogy, released at the peak of their drug abuse and artistic expression.
To be honest Rocks' side B is pretty weak. It's still an iconic and great rock album but the change of pace and punch from side A to side B is pretty shocking on vinyl.
I'd rank them Toys In The Attic > Draw The Line > Rocks
By the way, I got the 2013 remasters pressed on 180gr vinyls. They sound incredibly clean for vinyl standards and pack a big punch. I still have to decide what is the best sounding master for each album. Maybe for another time...

For me, Combination is the only weak spot on the album. I know everyone loves it, but to me it just sounds muddled and muddy. For reference, here's the vinyl track listing per side... Track-listing Side One: Back in the Saddle Last Child Rats in the Cellar Combination Track-listing Side Two: Sick as a Dog Nobody's Fault Get the Lead Out Lick and a Promise Home Tonight

Side A is flawless. Combination does sound muddy for the double voice but the it kicks my gut. DTL is a bit messy and noisy but Damn it's fun and rocks hard.

I knew someone would ask that But no, not GYW... I like this album, but (I'm almost afraid to say it out loud here) it's not amongst my favorite ones. I don't know, I find it a little too slow, too... gloomy? Not sure I can put this down in words precisely...

For me not a bad song on any of those. Apart from "The Hand That Feeds" I'm inclined to agree. But there's a noticeable decline in raw edge from Rocks to DTL. For me that makes the latter a disappointment.

To be honest Rocks' side B is pretty weak. Two of my top 5 favorite Aero songs are on Side B of Rocks (Lick and Nobody’s Fault)
