Agree on GYW... It has amazing guitar works but overall the pace of the album is a bit off. Too moody, too lsd/weed oriented, at times it sounds like Jefferson Airplane... the others are more raw and cocaine fueled which I guess it's more my kind or thing? Lol. But first 5 albums are gold like really premium quality iconic, timeless rock n roll material...and personally I think only with Get A Grip they got back on track.

Oh no, not the old 'Aerosmith sounds like Jefferson Airplane' thing again. I'm so tired of that discussion. š

I'll likely get tarred and feathered for this, but I prefer GYW over DTL and my trilogy of early albums would start there and end with Rocks instead of including DTL. The gloominess is part of what I love about it...not to mention some slow burns. Seasons of Wither is just something special. Don't get me wrong, Draw the Line is really good too, but Wings beats it for me.

Oh, just the thought of comparing Aerosmith to Jefferson Airplane for anything LOL. Now I'm not so irked about the 'second rate Stones clones' their detractors (not you, pillis) parrot 24/7 lol.

I'll likely get tarred and feathered for this, but I prefer GYW over DTL Doesn't everyone? Everyone should if they don't. There are 4 quality songs on DTL, whereas almost every song on GYW is great.

I do like all songs on both, but GYW is hands down the better album for me.

Yeah, I donāt think Iāve ever seen anyone state that DTL is better than Wings. DTL is where the wings started to fall off the airplane, so to speak. Itās the first Aero album in which there are some filler songs - to me itās Hand That Feeds and maybe Get It Up. This became an issue moving forward with pretty much every album after this having filler, whereas the first four albums are solid start to finishā¦.

In addition to the 2 songs in the above comment, to me Critical Mass, Bright Light Fright and Milk Cow Blues are also pretty mediocre.

Alright guys, here, hold my beer and let me throw the cat among the pigeons. I prefer DTL to GYW. And I am not saying everyone should (I'm looking at you tedz ). Obviously, it's not to say I don't like GYW. Just that on a random day I would probably have more fun listening to DTL than GYW. I appreciate its vigor and it also seems to me that this album is actually very consistent, coherent... Perhaps this could be boring to some, but I like it for that. So, for me, Toys, Rocks, Line (they should have come up with a name with "lines" in it instead, would make a nice trio) are my go-to albums.

Just because I prefer GYW to DTL, doesnāt mean I donāt still appreciate DTLā¦.lots of good stuff on there - the title track and K&Q are among my very favorite songs, I think theyāre masterpieces, actually.
