On this day back in 1997, Aerosmith releases their 12th studio album 'Nine Lives'
Songs in this album include: 1. "Nine Lives" 2. "Falling in Love (Is Hard on the Knees)" 3. "Hole in My Soul" 4. "Taste of India" 5. "Full Circle" 6. "Something's Gotta Give" 7. The album is amazing (did I ever mention how I love Full Circle?), the energy is great, the cover and booklet arts are iconic! Now, everybody go listen to Nine Lives...

Of the 'shinier' Aero era, Pump is king, while this one and PV duke it out for 2nd place.
For me, the singles from Nine Lives are it's weakest element. Some of the strongest deep cuts of their later career though.
Can't believe it's been 24 years already. I met my wife as a direct result of this record. Thanks, Nine Lives! Happy Birthday.

I met Aerosmith thanks to Nine Lives and the "Pink" video. I will always love the album for that, and because of that, I think it's their best. Full Circle is to me, one of the greatest songs ever.

Nine Lives was their last great album, and the last one that really felt like Aerosmith. It wasn’t without its issues, for sure, but it was a really solid effort.

This one hasn't held up well for me. I don't care for the sound of it anymore. I still dig a few songs, but I don't seek them out.

I have several versions of this album... including the original artwork!
I nearly ended up with a copy that had a printing error - the front of the booklet had been cut in half, clearly had been loaded wrong & this one had made it’s way to a shop floor rather than being found in QC & destroyed... didn’t think it worth shelling out for another copy at the time, in hindsight I do wonder if something like that could end up worth something...
And I think will have been one of the first people in the U.K. (maybe the world) to buy a copy... the U.K. release had been set for the Monday and I walked in to town to pick up a copy. The music store said the release had been pushed back to the Wednesday, so they couldn’t sell it. I crossed the street to the magazine store that also did CDs and they had some on the shelves, although someone was there about to load or unload... I quickly grabbed a copy and got it paid for before someone stopped me!
And a couple of months later I finally saw Aerosmith live on the Nine Lives tour!
