So long a go... was it just a dream? I believe this should read " April 8th 1975, Aerosmith unleashes their third studio album 'Toys in the Attic'". This album is a beast. A damn masterpiece start to finish. Go listen to it. GO! NOW!

Still love this one. My first Aerosmith record purchased in late 1975.

Still love this one. My first Aerosmith record purchased in late 1975. Depending when in late 1975, I was either a gamete or was settling in to a 9month residency attached to a placenta! 🤣

I was in 10th grade and just starting to hang with the “wrong” crowd who was skipping high school, partying and listening to Aerosmith (and other similar bands). The rest is history, at least for Aerosmith!

"1975! 1975!" I practiced saying that phrase dozens of times, anticipating my first "Meet and Greet" with Steven Tyler and Joe Perry before an Aerosmith concert in 2010. I wanted it to come out easily and effortlessly so hopefully I wouldn't freeze up, become mute, or faint. My sister was in the Meet and Greet line behind me and she later told me that she was ready to catch me in case I fainted (that wasn't going to happen). It was my turn, and those of you who have done this know you only have a few seconds with them, including having your picture taken, so I was determined not to mess it up and just stand there and not say anything to them (also especially for how much it cost). I started walking forward and as I approached Steven I started yelling: "1975! 1975!". I must have overcompensated and been too loud or aggressive-appearing or sounded angry, because Steven stood back, looked me straight in the eye, gestured with his hand back and forth, and said: "Me and you?". I smiled and said: "No, that's when I first saw you in concert!" He looked very relieved, then we all got into position for the photo, which came out perfect! He signed the 8 x 10 photo of himself that my sister had taken at a previous concert and wrote my name, drew a heart, and wrote: "75 to 2010" on top. Of course this is framed and on my wall now. Whenever I hear "1975" I think of this great memory, and my first concert, which was Aerosmith.
