Thought we could use a general thread for these upcoming shows.
I am thinking of going to a September Vegas show. Unfortunately no GA and anything close to the stage is $700+ before fees. Anyone do the side stage GA? I thought it looked rather unenjoyable - IE, you’re not part of the core audience. That said, it’s the cheapest ticket in the house!.
Any thoughts?

I did the side on-stage seating towards the end of the Vegas run in July. It was awesome to be on the stage. I got there super early to make sure I was one of the first. The front of it isn't as long as you think as back then part of it was roped off for VIPs so the front of it isn't as long as if you were standing behind people in a row 2. Brads side even with being like 4th in was a tad obstructed due to Bucks equipment being there. Joe's side didn't have any obstructions (I did 1 show on each side). Last time, they gave you an ipod that had Steven's mix and the actual bands mix. You could go back and forth. That doesn't seem to be happening on this run based on the current description. I pulled out a ghetto sign the first night requesting one way street. Tom saw it and mouthed to me it wasn't on the set list. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to remember. Definitely worth it at least once. If you don't want to stand behind people, get there super early.

I've been in the center GA for one of the Vegas shows. Very fun and the band surrounds you when they start prowling.

Super helpful description. Guess I’ll do this since I can’t stomach paying $800+ for a half decent ticket. Wish these tickets weren’t so ungodly expensive

if you are NOT going on Saturday 9/17, pretty much the rest of the other shows have had various bargains. If it's just you going (1 ticket), you really have nothing to lose by waiting for day of show.
I am going to multiple shows and not even stressing tickets.

I would say that if you are going to spend a ton of money to get there and for hotels and food that you may as well pony up for the main event...the reason you are there in the first place. That being said, I've blown a fortune in my lifetime and should be wealthy instead of firmly planted in the middle class, so my financial advice(sic) comes with a box car of salt.

Balcony with low row numbers is just fine. It's a small place but going to multiple shows and will be all over the place I am sure. Last time there were weeknight shows that crashed so hard or a Sunday show where pit or close rows were down below $200.

i saw some show there jan / feb 2020. i had a seat one night at the very last row on the balcony. still saw the show almost , or say could enjoy the show as much as down there close. the shows themself were not so good i wouod say. the sound there isnt so good. some nights they had parts of the balcony area closed down . because of tickets not selling that good?

Agree. Keep an eye on the show(s) that you are interested in. If they aren't selling well those prices will drop like a rock. Ticketmaster is very sneaky about this. I've been keeping an eye on a Scorps show here in NY (Sept. 7) and I saw a 1st row "Platinum" ticket in front of the 2nd stage drop incrementally from 1250 to 300 just today. I also saw approximately one third of the entire venue disappear in an instant a few weeks back. All the seating in every other row simply disappeared when I refreshed the page, I assume to give the appearance that the tix were selling and create FOMO in potential buyers. Then they sent me a "Special Offer" to buy seats at 49 only to drop them to 43 regular face price days later.

EVery other row is a sign is the show is selling poorly and tickets have been moved to be released as comps to vendors, radio stations etc or given over to discounters like Goldstar and Groupon
National Concert Week in May they had multiple AErosmith shows for $25 but only a few tickets each and I hardly got anything.
Same for the $80 4 packs.

Now that we have 2 shows under our belt, how are folks feeling about Vegas? I enjoyed Fenway but feel like Vegas will be the same show/setlist.
I have a free plane ticket (through work) and can stop off in Vegas next week to go. But trying to figure out whether it’s worth the hotel and ticket price. Only I can answer but looking for some inspiration.
It’s the balance of (i) fomo and (ii) saving money and avoiding Vegas, which I hate. Nine Inch Nails is playing the next night, so I’d throw that in if I do it
