Sounds more like the residency is not selling well, so they won't be doing it again, lol. I think it would sell better if the prices just weren’t so unbelievably high. I am not sure how anyone makes the median income affords $400+20-25% fees per ticket. Also, they shouldn’t do TM’s insane dynamic pricing. So many tickets for this 11/29 show are “platnium”. It would also help if they reworked the setlist. 2-3 songs of deep cuts isn’t worth another Vegas trip

They keep saying "final vegas shows." Is this it? Does anyone know? I can't imagine them doing much more than a small US farewell tour '23/'24 after this... The Hollywood Vampires have a pretty lengthy Euro Tour planned for next '23 summer which is concerning for two reasons: way too much time for Joe to be hanging around on benders with Depp and too many shows in a row... Plus as far as I'm concerned I wouldn't want to see the vamps if they were playing in my backyard for free... I don't care for Depp, but I have seen the Vampires and absolutely loved their shows. Which is why I'd love to see them again... and why you probably don't need to worry. Since I have a ticket to see the Vampires... they're probably going to cancel the euro tour. It would be very much in line with the luck I've had when it comes to actually getting to see shows I got tickets for long in advance. So far, out of ~20 tickets I had in March 2020, I got to use a single one... for a festival where neither of the two bands I bought the ticket for in the first place played (one of them even cancelled on the day they were supposed to play).

Heck, I am thinking of selling my ticket after what I saw resell tickets going for…up to and over $35,000!!! I think I even saw one for $40,000! Seriously, who affords that shit? 😂

They will be for sale until day of show and collapse to $200 Artists should sell tickets bespoke to a single buyer. No ID, no entry. If you can’t attend, tickets should be returnable for a full refund up to X days before the show. My humble $0.02

The refunds are a pipe dream that will never happen. A lot of tickets are impulse buys that the consumer later regrets.
Otherwise only a small fraction of events sell out or have insane demand.
And adding more personnel to supervise entry just adds additional personnel and hassle for the venue (there is a reason they moved away from that) and it will only add more costs to the consumer hiring people to make sure PeterTheRock really bought his own Ted Nugent ticket. Speaking of which he should absolutely sell that Taylor Swift ticket for as much as he can get then roll up the day of the show and buy one a lot cheaper. I have done that plenty of times.
But I have always benefitted from a system that encourages people to buy more tickets then they can use.

A lot of tickets are impulse buys that the consumer later regrets. I have no idea how typical or atypical I am here, but tickets are never impulse buys for me. At first, when I couldn't afford to travel at all, concerts were few and far between. We just don't get that many here. During the wildest times, the number of concerts I was interested in that I could see in a year was still a one digit number. So every show was a big deal. I never thought twice about buying tickets at first, but that was because every concert I got the chance to see I saw as a once in a lifetime. And then when I started traveling, there was the question of whether I can afford the trip at all, how can I group multiple shows in a trip because it's not like I can afford one trip for every concert I'd like to see. Sometimes it's agony for a few weeks trying to decide what's the best choice, should I go see this show, should I spend this money that could make a difference between life and death for me later. Aerosmith are the only band I bought GA tickets for the day they went on sale in 2010 and in 2017. I ended up waiting a little in 2019 when they announced that ill-fated 2020 euro tour. All that aside, TicketBastard are seriously the worst ticketing company I've ever had to deal with. Here are a few of the reasons that make me want to avoid them as much as possible in the future: Lazy when it comes to data security. If you have no choice but to buy a ticket from them, you run the risk of them leaking your banking info; I normally disable third party scripts, but TicketBastard don't allow me to buy tickets with third party scripts disabled. Imagine my face when I received that email from them telling me my personal payment information may have been compromised. And by the way, it took them three fucking months from the time the data breach was reported to them to warn their customers. More info here. Delivery ripoffs. Want to buy tickets to multiple events on one order? They don't allow that. No, they have to charge you for delivery for every single one. Not to mention the ridiculous 40€ delivery from TicketBastard Finland. Take the money right away, but don't send the tickets right away. To add insult to injury, they claim they do it so you don't lose them. Gee, thanks for calling me an idiot who can't take care of the fucking tickets she paid good money for. This caused a real nightmare in 2018, when the one ticket I had no choice but to buy from them was for one of the final shows of my concert trip and the fuckers weren't going to send the ticket before I was to leave for the first concert. I ended up sorting it with the venue so I could pick up my ticket from there on the morning of the show. Refund ripoffs. Thanks to the whole mess of the past few years, I got to experience that too. I was expecting refunds to be minus delivery, but they're also minus taxes... what the fuck did they do to deserve the almost 40€ in taxes that they got to keep out of my Copenhell ticket? Piss poor customer service. I'm really sorry for everyone who doesn't have a better choice for events they want to see. I know that's the case with venues owned by LiveNation... and that sucks huge donkey dicks.

I am just going by how many people I know always trying to get rid of their tickets. And the fact that promoters generally do not allow for careful consideration such as publishing pricing tiers ahead of time.
But well aware of Ticketmaster/LiveNation issues. I was a ticket broker for several years. Not sure I would label the worst though I have blocked a lot of that out of my mind.

Thought we could use a general thread for these upcoming shows. I am thinking of going to a September Vegas show. Unfortunately no GA and anything close to the stage is $700+ before fees. Anyone do the side stage GA? I thought it looked rather unenjoyable - IE, you’re not part of the core audience. That said, it’s the cheapest ticket in the house!. Any thoughts? I did the side on-stage seating towards the end of the Vegas run in July. It was awesome to be on the stage. I got there super early to make sure I was one of the first. The front of it isn't as long as you think as back then part of it was roped off for VIPs so the front of it isn't as long as if you were standing behind people in a row 2. Brads side even with being like 4th in was a tad obstructed due to Bucks equipment being there. Joe's side didn't have any obstructions (I did 1 show on each side). Last time, they gave you an ipod that had Steven's mix and the actual bands mix. You could go back and forth. That doesn't seem to be happening on this run based on the current description. I pulled out a ghetto sign the first night requesting one way street. Tom saw it and mouthed to me it wasn't on the set list. If you have any questions feel free to ask and I'll do my best to remember. Definitely worth it at least once. If you don't want to stand behind people, get there super early. What do you mean with super early? When did you get there? Where there many people already? I got a ticket for Joe's side and I'm a bit worried. Don't wanna get there to early, but also not to late. ;-) And that covid testing still is a bit of a mystery to me.

COVID testing is available from 2-8 PM at On the Record, a nightclub across from the venue entrance (located within Park MGM casino). Like others have mentioned, tests are $25 per person, you get back in line to receive your results and if you are negative they will give you a wristband as proof of this. Around 5-5:30 PM they will replace your wristband with another showing which side of the stage you are on along with a VIP General Admission lanyard. This happens in the same line so I would recommend getting right back in line if you're worried about getting a good spot and if you don't mind waiting. After this, you can get in line for the actual doors to the venue. Once those open, the doors to sidestage open relatively soon (about 10-15 minutes after venue doors opened) so make your bathroom stops and photo ops quick. After all this and you are on stage, it is surprise, surprise, more waiting... Fingers crossed you get a spot close to the front and are fortunate enough not to be obscured by the Aerosmith's Angels section. *eyeroll* In my opinion, it is well worth the wait (and the aching knees) if you want the best shot at getting right to the front. Hope this was helpful.
