You know these guys. They were RIOT and then they branched out. You may recall Swords and Tequila and Restless Breed. Marke Reale passed a number of years ago and Lou Kouvaris passed in 2020 from Covid but RIOT 5 carries on with Doug Flyntz as does RIOT ACT with Rick Ventura. Great songs and videos as well as their tour schedule (North American tour with Raven starts tonight) available at riotactband.com/ Plugging them not just because I love em but also because like Ventura, my first guitar was a Univox and I suspect he got his where I got mine...King James Music on Flatbush Ave. They were from my neighborhood, Marine Park(like Gil Hodges!). I went to high school with Rick's brother's girlfriend and I would see Guy Speranza walking his dog from time to time. They're my homies...check em out!

The first three Riot records were great. Fire Down Under was a stone cold classic. That record should've launched them into the big time.

They really did have a shot at the big time. As somebody commented about this video, they had poor management. I only got to see them once, at Zappas on Quentin Rd in Brooklyn on Aug 3, 1979. I was 14 but I got in using my brothers ID. First time ever buying alcohol at a show and a Southern Comfort sour went straight to my head as I stood in awe right in front of Mark Reale. I was just blown away that night.
Because of conflicts with other shows it looks like I will have to travel to York PA to see RIOT ACT, but my childhood friend from the hood is in Lancaster so it's apropos. I neglected to mention Guy, may he rest in peace as well...
