I think they played a great set in cunilingus, I love me some heavy songs like Rag Doll, Lamar loves Crazy because that's what he calls me when he's with my Mom and Dad isn't around.

Alright the nonsesical "Last Child" needs a rest forces me to chime in. Well, I knew it was only a matter of time before I offended you. : ) Yeah, I know it's sacrilige taking Last Child out, but we know they aren't going to retire Rag Doll, Edge, Cryin' in favor of more 70s stuff. LC has had a really long run as a staple - what about Rats, Thighs, SOSAD, Kings and Queens taking a run at that spot in the set for a while? I would say Saddle too, but I'm guessing that has been scarce because it's hard on Tyler's voice.

^ Interesting thought, which led me to this one: If Joe and Brad had not come back, DWM would not have been made, and we would probably all be pointing fingers at Jimmy and Rick for Radio Friendly Aerosmith. Yeah, we would be saying that Joe Perry would never have stood for Aerojovi pop rock. It's not possible to picture JP playing "Girls of Summer". I don't know, I get the impression Joe would be onstage playing anything, everyday if it was up to him. And I love Girls of Summer. I love Jaded. Not saying that for effect. I like rock, I like pop and to get both out of my favorite band.... I'm dreaming tonight I'm leaving back home Right!
Take me back to a south Tallahassee Down cross the bridge to my sweet sassafrassy Can't stand up on my feet in the city Got to get back to the real nitty gritty
Yes sir, no sir, Don't come closer My home sweet home can't catch no dose Of a hard tail poon tang sweetheart sweat Who could make silk purse from a J. Paul Get' and his ear With her face in a beer
Home sweet home
Get out in the field, Put the mule in the stable Ma she's a cookin', Put the eats on the table Hate's in the city, And my love's in the meadow Hands on the plow, And my feets in the ghetto
Stand up, sit down, Don't do nothing It ain't no good when boss man's Stuffin' it down their throats, for paper notes And the babies cry while cities lie at their feet When you're rockin' the street
Home sweet home
Mama take me home sweet home
I was a last child Just a punk in the streetNon sensical? These are some of their most fun lyrics Aerozuhl!!

What do I know anyway, I love Jaded!!

Last Child kicks ass, but if we are trading apples for apples, I'd rather see it take a break for a deeper cut to get a chance.
I'm sure no one would argue that Cryin' would be even better to take a break.

Like I haven't already.

Give Me Saddle, Seasons, Last Child, Same Old Song and Dance, Mama Kin, Big 10 Inch, Last Child, Dream On, Sweet Emotion, Train.. All poplular and they audience would eat them up. That is 10 of the 70's songs right there that should be played alot more. It is a travesty that the last setlists have only had 8 songs from that era.. Just a f'n shame...

To play devil's advocate (don't kill me Tomass) 8 songs out of 19 is still almost half the set and a large portion of the show devoted only to the 70s material. It's quite a lot when you have four decades of songs to choose from.

Hamilton stated a few weeks ago they were practicing songs (plural) that they haven't played in eons. And I believe he said it felt and sounded really good. I sure hope he didn't mean rag doll and idwmat:O

I sure hope he didn't mean rag doll and idwmat:O It was probably bull shit. They all say and spin what they think sounds good. If it is true, it pisses me off more that they only play rarities for themselves, apparently.

Stones Ac Dc Kiss etc...Rock bands from basically the same era. They KNOW the 70s were the best years for them (and 60s for the Stones). Check out theirs and other rock bands from the 70s that still tour successfully and you will find they play a much higher percentage of their 70s catalog and sell out stadiums. Ticket prices and setlists. Pretty simple formula. And I like a lot of the 80s and 90s stuff but they have turned their backs on the I best decade unlike any other band that is still touring. Its really a shame.

I am done bitching about setlists (personally). I will see the boys in Mansfield this summer and cross my fingers that they shock me with some IMAGINATION regarding setlist. Still love the band but this will be my last show if the current setlist isn't changed up drastically.A lot of great8 memories of my absolute favorite live band. Nobody was better when they stuck to their roots and played a hard rock set...Nobody!
