Am I the only one that gets slightly irritated by a random cover, when there’s so many AEROSMITH songs that could fill that slot?

The breakdown was a bit of a mess. Drummer either missed the cue to come back, or... something. They should probably rehearse with the new guy occasionally.

Not the same without Joey, obviously.

I thought so too when they played Come Together a few tours ago. I mean, it sounds great and all, but play an original instead!!! And give "Stop Messin' Around" a rest already, they were on fire when they swtiched up for "Combination".

In the wider scheme of things, it's a minor moan. I just look at the setlist and think.... Not one song off your greatest album? It's just me... Thinking out aloud.

On one hand it's great to see them mix things up, on the other hand.... I think this setlist is a step in the wrong direction from where they left off. Definitely too many covers for my liking.

Cool to see DTl open and All Your Love, but I watched a few videos and they were more sloppy than usual. I don't think they rehearsed after taking a month off. I don't think they can afford to not rehearse more with the fill in drummer, who appeared to be all over the place too... lol.

Draw/Dog/Chip/..All Your Love?? Absent Rocks aside, I'd have been very happy with this one. Hell yeah!!! At least they are switching it up.. All they ever really play from Rocks is Saddle and Last Child anyway. Two amazing songs but they play them a lot and I am sure we will see them again soon. Brad also has plenty of spotlights throughout the show. During the Fenway show he seemed to take more leads than usual. Loving the setlist. Almost shit when I saw "All Your Love" was played.

All Your Love (clearly not rehearsed but enjoyable none the less) My lord, I would have lost my mind if I was there! They obviously just played it off the cuff and hadn't played it in 20 years. They were just having fun. They also only played about two minutes of it. It was pretty spontaneous and there is no way they removed any songs for that. Not that I would care if they did. I would kill to see them play the whole thing. As for Stop Messin Around. I agree that it looks tired on paper but in person it always rocks. They play it a little different every time and just have fun jamming out on it. There are better songs they could play, but worse ones as well.

Am I the only one that gets slightly irritated by a random cover, when there’s so many AEROSMITH songs that could fill that slot? Aerosmith came from the era where you'd get together with other musicians and jam out covers together until you wrote stuff of your own. Covers are in Aerosmith's DNA. Their very first show's setlist was famously Route 66 Rattlesnake Shake Happenings Ten Years Time Ago Movin' Out Somebody Think About It Walkin' The Dog Live With Me Great Balls Of Fire Good Times Bad Times Train Kept A Rollin' So I'm happy to hear covers.

I’ve not seen that setlist before. Would be amazing to have a recording of that.

Couldn't the same be said about practically every band that has ever existed? Everyone starts out playing covers at small venues. There are plenty of great cover bands out there, but without their own hits, they aren't getting past the bar and wedding circuit.

The Stones made it big doing mostly covers for their first couple years. I know it was different times though.
