Psychologists have asserted that people who obsess over homosexuals and spew constant hatred towards homosexuality are most likely displaying a hatred of themselves for being a closeted homosexual themselves. Many times a persons religious beliefs plays a role in the behavior. Very religious people have low tolerances for anything other than what they believe to be true. Therefore a man in his 20's who is very religious and has an attraction to other men, starts to be confused and angry, angry at himself, but will hide that anger of himself because to confront the true anger would be to admit that he is a homosexual, so as a defense mechanism, the angry religious homosexual will turn is anger towards the people he doesn't want to be aligned with, and in this instance, it's homosexuals.
On another note Daryl, do you seriously look in the mirror and fool yourself that you are a man who follows the teachings of Jesus? When was the last time you prayed for Obama and his family? Would Jesus spew all the hatred you do, or would he show compassion and passively teach the sinners of the world? Perhaps I have you all wrong and you don't follow the teachings of Jesus, but refer only to the old testament where God was an angry, hateful God, inciting murder and rape.

Frank is not the Pope. He's an anti-Pope. But that's a topic for a whole new thread which I am sure most people here don't care about. No, you cannot handle the fact that he has a grasp on reality and the real world. The Bible iS open to interpretation...and like I ask people: IF God did not intend for there to be gays and others which the Catholics smear, WHY are they on earth?

However, the Vatican quickly shot down reports that the pope's comments were evidence of his support for same-sex unions in Italy, Reuters pointed out.

Come on, the Pope IS a puppet to the system. More than once Pope Francis has made comments which show support to gays which the Vatican shot down. This man GETS it. Gays are PEOPLE...no different than anyone else. Sad that the Catholic church puppets like yourself refuse to acknowledge that.

The only thing this "pope" gets is that he is a heretic. Homosexuality is and always will be a sin and an abomination to God. Popes go to Hell just like other people.

Back to the fact HE gets it and they do not like it. And the Catholic Church and its doctrines are antiquated. WHY do you think so many leave the church OR do not follow most anymore? Because they see that gays are PEOPLE just like anyone else. And most people are tired of living in the dark ages and want to be more progressive like so many other religions including other Christian religions.

Francis "who am I to judge" statement was in reference to the rehabilitation of an individual. Of course, it was taken out of context. When in Argentina, he termed "same-sex marriage" legislation "the work of the devil". His statements are intended, I think, to make it easier for sinners to repent and reconsider their lives. His statements are being deliberately misinterpreted as permission to sin. Of course he has been irresponsible in his utterances. Further, as Pope, he doesn't have the authority to change doctrine, even if he wanted to. Homosexual acts are contrary to natural law (not to mention revelation), and there is no way around that. "Homosex" of course is not sex. The activities of homosexuals cannot result in procreation. They are merely anatomical or biological gyrations that serve no purpose, and therefore against natural law and objectively sinful. Fact is...Francis' comments were taken way out of context...something the lib media does every day. Here is what the Pope really said... cnsnews.com/news/article/michael-w-chapman/bishop-pope-shocked-gay-adoption-encouraged-me-speak-outBishop: Pope ‘Shocked’ By Gay Adoption, ‘Encouraged Me to Speak Out’
(CNSNews.com) – Pope Francis is “shocked” about legislation in Malta that would allow homosexual couples to adopt children and encouraged the auxiliary bishop of that island nation, Charles J. Scicluna, to “speak out” against the proposal, the bishop told the Sunday Times of Malta on Dec. 29.
In his Christmas Day sermon, Bishop Scicluna had defended the Catholic Church’s teaching against same-sex “marriage” and gay adoption. When asked why he would discuss such a topic as part of a Christmas homily, Bishop Scicluna said he had met with Pope Francis on Dec. 12 and the pope advised him to speak boldly on the subject.
“We discussed many aspects,” said Bishop Scicluna. “And when I raised the issue that’s worrying me as a bishop [gay adoption], he encouraged me to speak out.”
“[T]hat is exactly what I did in my Christmas sermon,” said Bishop Scicluna. “My sermon was not about the rights of gay people but about children’s rights.”
In his Christmas Day homily, the bishop had said, “The message of Christmas remains always a current message. It beckons and invites us to seek and recognize the true Wisdom that the manger of our Lord Jesus embraces ….
“Around the manger of baby Jesus there are also a woman and a man: the mother who gave him birth and her husband Joseph whom God chose to bring up, along with the mother, the child of Mary.
“God, who generated his Son as a human being without the participation of a man, did not want his Son as man to be brought up without the participation of a man. The silent and essential mission of Joseph was to ensure that the boy Jesus, in his upbringing as a man, was not deprived of a father’s affection and example.
“In the upbringing of his Beloved Son, God himself ordained and chose to be subjected to the wisdom and law of creation according to which a baby should be reared by a mother and father, by a couple made of a man and a woman and not by a couple made of woman and woman or a couple made of man and man.”
The Parliament of Malta introduced a Civil Unions Bill that includes gay adoptions in September. The proposal would give same-sex couple essentially the same rights as married couples under the law.
In late November, Bishop Scicluna discussed the Civil Unions Bill on the Maltese program “Dissett” and said, "While the sexual activity of heterosexual couples has a fundamental role in producing future members of the society, that of same-sex couples does not have a role in society as it does not produce offspring.”
Pope Francis, as the archbishop of Buenos Aires and Primate of Argentina, said in July 2010 that same-sex marriage and adoption of children by gays will “seriously harm the family.”
As reported by the National Catholic Register, “In the coming weeks, the Argentine people will face a situation whose outcome can seriously harm the family. … At stake is the identity and survival of the family: father, mother and children. At stake are the lives of many children who will be discriminated against in advance, and deprived of their human development given by a father and a mother and willed by God. At stake is the total rejection of God’s law engraved in our hearts.”
Cardinal Bergoglio also said, “Let us not be naive: this is not simply a political struggle, but it is an attempt to destroy God’s plan. It is not just a bill but a ‘move’ of the Father of Lies [Satan] who seeks to confuse and deceive the children of God.”
The Republic of Malta is a small island nation in the Mediterranean Sea south of Italy and north of Libya. The official languages there are Maltese and English. The official religion of the nation is Roman Catholicism and there are 360 churches on the two small islands (122 sq. miles) that comprise Malta.

And back to my previous post...WHY are so many leaving the Church? Why are other Christian religions accepting gays? Why did the Church cover up KNOWN sexual abuse most of it male on male IF it is so against homosexuality?

Just to be clear: I am gay and I am Italian and the pope is NOT a gay supporter whatsoever and never will be. It's not his role and it just dosn't make any sense with the catholic religion. The problem is that the Vatican has a HUGE amount of power on italian politics and they're tying in every way possible to prevent gay people from obtaining the rights that we currently don't have in Italy but at the same time try to play the hero and save their faces...and what's worse is that it's actually happening. Pope Francis is seen as a huge innovation and a "good guy" but actually they just replaced Ratzinger because he could't control IOR issues any longer and the Vatican needed a new marketing strategy to save its face after all the scandals on which the press clearly doesn't raise a single word. My poor Italy is in a very bad situation, it's so difficult to get the whole sitution straight here that I can't imagine how difficult could it be from other countries.
Regarding president Obama, don't know what to say...I think that people always like to make up fancy stories about powerful people and come up with those "scandals"...the reality is just that Obama has been a disappointment despite the good promises or being gay (?) Then I do not live in the States so I can't have a proper opinion about the situation in America. Hope the future will be brighter for us all, it's just a bad historical moment almost everywhere on the planet!

I don't care if Barry sucks d*ck or not. A person's sexual orientation has no bearing on how they do their job... Fact is, he sucks as a leader and president. And I'm so tired of the race card bullscrunch, too. I don't like the job the white half of him is doing, either. I don't care if the fool is PLAID. He is awful and has run this country into the ground so far, they'll have to pipe us daylight. Hahaha. Irony all over the place....Happy 4th!
As far as calling him Brokeback Barry...that's schoolyard stuff and an insult to Ang Lee, who told that story beautifully.. "Brokeback Mountain" was an incredible story about LOVE, which is something I thought true Christians lived. Joke's on me,I guess.

I never said I believed what HuffPo said...I am unlike YOU capable of making my own decisions without some biased media source telling me how to think. And who gives a shit what Joan Rivers says LOL! She is a bat shit crazy comedienne who just spews off shit as she feels like. Not the first time she has flown off at the mouth saying something crazy and controversial. Keeps her relevant and in the news.

Thank you, Aeroladyny. Likewise. The Joan Rivers thing is completely laughable, as she stopped being funny almost 30 years ago, if one doesn't count her surgeries. Whoa. Looking to her for anything of substance(other than Botox and Restalyne)is futile. She is ornamental and superfluous. What does she care about anything political? None of it affects her, anyway. She's made herself gozillions of dollars, and I don't begrudge her that, but her carrying any weight on an issue regarding how this country is lead is fluff and nothing more. Hang on,I'm gonna get advice about brain surgery from one of my dogs...
