Speaking of ducks, I was at my mom's house on the lake today and one of the ducks we saw had a broken leg. It could walk, but the leg kept folding under, and it seemed to swim ok. It was part of a group, and it didn't look undernourished at all. When I got home I looked up a wildlife rehab place in that area and sent them a message. Hopefully they will follow up on it.
