I expect Tyler to treat Jesse with kid gloves and not continue the history of Kramer harassment.
I think time and the negative effects of drugs permeating Tylers brain will make this Kramer's job easier. Zen said he was tough on Zack Whitford in AU so who knows.

Might be in the minority here, but I think the band ought to postpone the tour until Joey is ready to play. They keep talking about how this band is five people, but if Tom is out, Brad is out, Joey is out, they just fill in with a hired gun. If you love your brother, you will wait for him. Rush waited nearly five years for Neal. I disagree. I think it is great that they are marching on with Jesse. When I thought the tour was canceled I was actually thinking to myself that they should just get Jesse or a fill in.. I really don't care who is behind the kit. During a typical Aerosmith show, I would say less than 1% of my attention is ever focused on Joey. Steven, Joe or Brad is a different story.

In response to gwb, lin, and petertherock, thanks for your replies. I just want to clarify, that the point I was trying to make, is that what is most important is the band. With this recent news, I was reminded that we are always just one arrhythmia away from not having all 5 band members, and without all 5 band members, there is no Aerosmith, in my opinion. There could be "Aerosmith 2.0" or "Aerosmith, the Next Generation", but it won't be the same. If there is no Aerosmith, then there is no set list. So it's not about personal versus professional, or two different things, there is a direct correlation. For example, Joey had a cardiac issue, therefore the Concord, California concert was canceled, therefore no show, no set list. Direct correlation. I'm sure that the people planning on going to the Concord Pavilion would have rather had what we would call a "bad" set list versus no set list.
Which brings up another point about the set list discussions. Of course, I (like you and many other fans on this forum) do not want to hear IDWTMAT 3x or even 1 time. I think it should be retired. But as entertainers (and businessmen), Aerosmith wants (and needs) to play songs that most people buying tickets to the concert want to hear, and unfortunately, that still includes IDWTMAT. When you are talking about 12,500 to 20,000 people filling a venue, every few days, around the planet, we here at AeroForce 2.0 are in the minority. I think it is great and very interesting that we discuss the set lists, because they are important. We all have opinions and not even everyone here agrees on what they should play. Maybe someone is listening because they are throwing in some "gems". And sometimes people get requests played by making very special and spectacular hats (great job, hattah!, love your story, btw). But for the most part, we are in the minority. If we could hire them for a private concert, that would be a different story. So I was just trying to put things in perspective, most important is the band. Peace.

But for me the band is five guys. That is who I want to see live, if those five are still in the band. I do agree that I would give little attention with my eyes to the drummer (I am a guitar nerd, so you know....), but it just different for me with different guys up there. I couldn't watch the "Toys" shows on YouTube because Brad wasn't there. I don't want to see someone else perform Round & Round, or anything else for that matter. No dis to anyone for stepping in, they did what they were asked and hired to do. And I did see the band with Jimmy and Rick, but Joe and Brad were out of that band at that time. I get I am an old nostalgic fart, but I yam what I yam!

This is why even though I know the set lists will always be up in the air I want to see them any time I can...you never know when their last show is going to be. Hopefully it's a long time from now but you never know what's going to happen.

I disagree that they have to play IDWTMAT at every single concert just to please the masses. Maybe they need to play more of their older gems and get these people to love them like we all did. Heck, I was a fan for more than 20 years before IDWTMAT was even a twinkle in Dianne Warren's eye. Anyway, I wish Aerosmith would show today's audiences their old kick ass, who gives a crap attitude again. Maybe the long time fans from the 70s, who have given up on them, might start coming back. As far as Joey's health is concerned, thank God it was not cardiac arrest and things were all blown way out of proportion. Tom's cancer was (and continues to be) imo, a much more serious issue. But again, Joey's health, and the product that Aerosmith puts out, are two different things. But I do appreciate your sharing your perspective. Have a good day.

Hopefully it's a long time from now but you never know what's going to happen. Of course, never knowing when their last show might be and never knowing what might happen was just as big of a of a concern for us back in the late 70s. They were a mess. Heck, we couldn't even count on a whole show back then.

So I was just trying to put things in perspective, most important is the band. Peace. Thanks. I understand that serious health issues trump everything else, including set lists or the lack thereof. However, they can also trump the importance of getting a good education or saving for retirement (why will it matter if cancer sets in right after that?). Therefore, we can excuse just about anything (including this forum) as being trivial or unimportant in light of a serious health issue. So to me at least, mentioning that seems to be yet another veiled attempt at stifling debate or "negativity" about the band or its setlists. Perhaps that wasn't your intention, but I suspect it has been the intention of others here in the past. Have a great day.

I know I wasn't. I went to two shows in 2012 and they didn't play it either time. It was great. Cryin wasn't in the set list either.
