Tough to watch. Tyler really wasted, especially in the beginning. I might have to alter my Aerosmith drug preference.

I was at this show and do recall Tyler being off and staggering around the stage. I was excited to see the show being filmed thinking we would get a video, but I think the band just didn't play well enough, and with Tyler stumbling through songs, it couldn't be released. Still, it was great to have the five playing together again.

I have a soundboard bootleg of this show and the band sounds great! It's just Steven that sounds wasted, even Joes plays awesome. Steven was just totally fucked up and it hampered what was a great performance from the band. But it's still a really cool recording to have, I listen to it pretty often lately.

I just finished watching this.
1. That was the saddest live version of Dream On I have ever seen 2. Milk Cow Blues...Joe has to remind Tyler to play harmonica...WTF is up with Tyler & Harmonica on his shoulder? , then Joe jumps off drum riser & hits Steven, then Joe kicks micro phone over. He seemed pissed. 3. Sweet E... Joe's guitar stops working during his solo I think and then Joe smashes his guitar.
I revise my comments in the thread, Tyler is wasted completely throughout the entire show. What a mess. I am surprised he didn't pass out. I can't think of any other performances I have seen on youtube that are as fucked up as this one.
Also, can anyone think of any other 70's bands that were so wasted while they played? I can't think of one.

I used to have this show on cd as well. Guess I need to listen to it again to refresh my memory.

Those were the days!
Funny how people say ST is a perfectionist when, back in those days, he often seemed to be the one who stumbled the most during shows. The LI3 always seemed to keep the beat and rhythm going just fine, despite the drugs.

29:00 I thought it was good. Had he remembered to get close to his mic more it might have been really good. Crowd doesn't care. They are going crazy.

I'm all for the good old days when Aerosmith were a dangerous, loud hard rock band that got high and drank and partied, but there is a balance that needs to be realized. This is sad to watch for me. We see a truly talented musician & singer who has written some of the best rock gems of our generation, just wasting away his talents & life. I'm not entertained by watching someone I hold dear, from a rock icon stand point, slowly committing suicide and perhaps on the verge of a drug over dose.

If nothing else, from a history standpoint. I did feel like it could easily have been an ending segment of Behind the Music when they would have talked about how he died soon after this.

I didn't watch the whole thing, but every part I did see was f'in amazing. Joe and Brad were fired up, Joey was pounding the drums like they owed him money, Tom...was Tom in this anywhere? ...anyway, and Steven was great. He looked like 70s Steven. I've seen him a lot more fucked up than this.

I agree, particularly when Steven was combing his hair getting ready for lighting strikes. It was just something that I've never seen before and love the song. I'm sure I'll see them try to duplicate this song tonight (as I wake-up from my dream)...
Thanks for posting this show. I've seen some of these on YouTube over the years, but never in its entirety.

^ Enjoy your show tonight! Maybe they'll play Adam's Apple just for you. Yeah, probably not, but that would be pretty amazing.

I've seen him a lot more fucked up than this. This was a great performance from Steven? He's missing words, out of key in certain parts, his voice is struggling and he can't hit many of the high notes. I have not seen him more fucked up than this, other than when I saw them in 1982 & he indeed did pass out before the end of the show. Show me a song where he is more fucked up than he is on Milk Cow Blues here. He looks like early 80's Tyler, on the edge of death from an over dose. I think his drug addiction was much worse and obvious in the early 80's than it was in the 70's. I agree the band sounds great, but Tyler was just sad. It's interesting to watch from a historical perspective, but to watch that & say it was a great performance from Steven is mind boggling to me. Too each his own I guess. You guys would have loved him at the Worcester Centrum in November of 1982. He couldn't sing for shit, he was slumped up against the amps, kept knocking over the electric fans on stage and eventually passed out back stage where the band then played Toys with no lyrics. I suspect that although most fans leaving there that night were saying "Aerosmith sucks", "where's Our Refund?", you guys would have been screaming for more.
