During the Wembley tribute to Taylor Hawkins, they showed a picture of him with Steven Tyler. And some bloke called Paul McCartney joined the Foo Fighters on stage for a cover of Helter Skelter...

I saw Saxon tonight in Dublin. Before they came on, one of the songs that got played was Eat the Rich. The photographer in front of me (I was in the front row, as usual) went nuts and then started telling us he saw them on that tour in 1993 and they were brilliant and then moved on to the other shows in Dublin and how cool it was to have Steven on the piano for Dream on.

Watching Breaking Bad for the third time, and in one scene last night there was a radio playing in the background and the DJ said something like "Coming up next, Aerosmith and Def Leppard"

Loudwire made a list of lists: the big 4 of various rock & metal subgenres. loudwire.com/big-4-bands-rock-metal-subgenres/Aerosmith are listed in the "classic rock" category, along with Guns N' Roses, AC/DC and Van Halen. In case anyone is wondering about other big names, there's a "British Rock" category.

This is a weird one, but the guys name is Steven Tyler Stratton, probably not a name randomly picked by his parents.

Their last real effort at an album was over ten years ago and their catalog that they make their most money off of is over 30 years old at this point. I remember when I was a kid we had this radio station called Hot 99 FM that played all the current hits (of the late 80s and early 90s). Sometime in the early 90s they switched formats and became 99.9 the Hawk classic FM. But when they first started their classic rock was Buddy Holly, Fats Domino, Richie Valens, etc. Now, its Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Nirvana, etc. Time moves us on.

Joe Elliot of Def Leppard met up with Alice Cooper and Johnny Depp at Grasspop, and was wearing a "Ross Half Photography" t-shirt that looks a lot like the logo for a band we all know... 😉
