Some of you will recall this thread on AF1. Post here when you hear/remember random Aerosmith mentions.
I'll start!
Watching Shark Tank just now, they had an update on a company that makes custom bicycles. They said something like "We've made bikes for Pepsi, bands like One Republic, and even Steven Tyler of Aerosmith!"

Stephen King has mentioned Aerosmith in I think 3 books. Twice was setting a scene, Aerosmith was playing on the radio in the background and the other one I can't remember off the top of my head. Mrs Doubtfire and a scene from "That '70's Show" where one of them is done up as Steven Tyler.
I remember we actually found lots of them back at AF1.

I remember in early 1999 when the Atlanta Falcons made the Super Bowl, somebody was interviewing Atlanta's star running back, Jamal Anderson. They asked him what it was like getting all this attention during Super Bowl week, and he replied, "I feel like I am in Aerosmith." I always liked that one.

Walk This Way is being used in a video game commercial right now. Don't remember which video game, want to say Super Smash Bros., but could be wrong.

I always wondered in the book "IT", when the kids are talking and say someone has "Toys in the Attic" because they thought they saw Jaws in the canal, if that was a nod to the song Toys in the Attic. I'm guessing the euphemism is that the person is not all there in the head like saying that they aren't the brightest crayon in the box, or they are missing their marbles, etc., but I never really heard that-Toys in the Attic-used as an expression before reading it in that book. Is it a New England expression?

Is it a New England expression? I had actually heard it before the Aerosmith album or "IT" and it did mean like a euphemism like 'not the brightest crayon in the box', not the sharpest knife in the drawer' or 'a few sandwiches short of a picnic', but the difference was 'toys in the attic' here always meant an older person and I didn't get it at first because our houses here rarely have attics or cellars, so it probably did start in the US or the UK. But I realise now, where you guys stow stuff you don't want to throw out, apparently the attic, so ....here when granny brings out some random gem, it's from her toys in the attic and that is usually a random something that pops in conversation when she can't even tell what she ate for breakfast 4 hours ago but can recite a whole day from 60 years ago type thing.

Steven was picture 59 of 61, but they have an opening picture introducing the topic, which makes Steven #58 out of 60. Either way, there's some pretty...interesting outfits in that series.

Sorry I only looked at the numbers and ST's said 59, I have a life, a rather short one if this house hunting carries on much longer! I told Dad if he keeps it up then maybe they should start looking at old peoples homes....

I'll take a different route here . . . When I interviewed Frank Hannon from Tesla over the summer I inquired about their outtakes... Someone must've listened to MFAD, lmao. But I disagree with him, vehemently. I think there are gems that wind up in the trash bin, and if you're good enough and focused enough you can make something spectacular out of it. Aerosmith *could* have done so, but they did not put forth the effort into re-imagining the songs and working them out thusly, they just polished the turds. Stevie Nicks however just hit a homer with her outtakes collection. That's a discussion for another thread though. Even more random than that . . . . and funnier: After the Tesla concert, which was in New Hampshire, my friend and I were approached by a slightly inebriated, but very happy woman who told us to follow her to her minivan. Never one to turn down strange offers from drunktards in the middle of the night whilst traveling, Kel and I looked at each other, shrugged, and said sure . . . to which the woman replied, referring to the vintage 1989 Rolling Stones tee I was wearing, "I assume you like them . . . " .........but of course. She then grabbed my hand and pulled me to the minivan and opened the door to reveal her teen son, who looked at us like we had grown 14 Massholes on our face (understandably). She then introduced him as Jagger Tyler . . . lmao! Only this Jersey Girl Aerohead can drive from Philly to New Hampshire, go to a Tesla concert wearing a Stones tee, and find someone who named their kid, in part, after ST. Doesn't get more random than that - hahaha.
