Serious question. . Other than destination cities like Vegas and some other major cities around the world, are the days of Aerosmith playing large venues over? Based on announcements so far for this tour, they may be over. I know over touring and pricing have a lot do with it. But here in boston, U 2 have basically sold out 4 shows at extremely high prices. I realize they dont come here as much as Aerosmith, but wow. Im cool with Aerosmith playing some smaller venues by the way..just bring the prices down a bit!

Anyone get any close seats for Santa Barbara? The closest now available is sec I. I'm wondering if just buying with general public will get better seats. This might be the first tour I miss in 9 years and then it was because I was out of the country. I've been going to every tour since gag so I would hate to miss but it's a lot of money and I'd have to get a hotel, etc anyone else in a quandary of what to do?

Crap, cheap seats for Santa Barbara are already sold out, and they weren't even that cheap to begin with.

Joey just tweeted there will be only 16 dates. I count 14 listed above... so this is a really weird Blue Army tour. Doesn't even look like they will be coming to the east coast at all.

And, aerosmith.com lists the football gig under the BAT. So if they also counted the IBM show than that makes 16. Probably they didn't count the IBM gig though, since it was private.

Wouldn't it be interesting though if they were planning to do what we've all been crying for - a set of 70s heavy songs in smaller clubs. This could be the tease to end all teases.

But they're not even hitting the towns where the blue army originated. They're hitting all these weird places out west. The only two cities east of the Mississippi are Evansville, and that's not even that far east, and Canton. So weird. And I'm not even sure what the future holds with Joe going off with the Hollywood Vampires and Steven doing his country solo thing.

please aerosmith have some weeks with 5 shows so it gets more interesting. make a real tour those one show every 3 days is ridiculous. also have a 10 show streak in 15 days or so in one arena. please do that. other bands do it. it is aerosmiths time.

Like I said, the hometown crowd is going to miss out this tour, so they will play a deep cut orientated setlist and we will miss out.

I still wouldn't be surprised if they added a local date at some point. Honestly though I wouldn't be heartbroken either way. If they come, I will be there. If they skip I will be saving myself some cash that I don't need to be spending on expensive tix.

I'd rather have 1 show every 5 days over a slew of cancelled dates, I imagine the promoters feel the same way.
