I still wouldn't be surprised if they added a local date at some point. Honestly though I wouldn't be heartbroken either way. If they come, I will be there. If they skip I will be saving myself some cash that I don't need to be spending on expensive tix. I kinda feel the same way... The problem is the West Coast is more "hometown" than the Boston area is at this point. Joey's in Texas, Joe/Steven spend a lot of time on the West Coast. I get the demand for a Boston show it's just not as much of a HOME as it used to be.

please aerosmith have some weeks with 5 shows so it gets more interesting. make a real tour those one show every 3 days is ridiculous. also have a 10 show streak in 15 days or so in one arena. please do that. other bands do it. it is aerosmiths time. At their age with all of the health problems they experienced 1 show every 3 days is not ridiculous. It is actually smart. Yes, but many artists are the same age or older and they play much more frequently, and they play longer sets too. So I kind of think age is a cop out.

It is actually smart. c mon a show every 2 days can be done at that age. see zz top, rolling stones....even ol springsteen does it and he plays 4,5 hour shows sometimes. this coming tour is really strange in all aspects. They've actually been doing this for years. Steven's voice can't handle more than a few shows per week these days. The other guys get bored, but they need to do what is good for Steven.

I think they switched to every three days more recently. It seems like about 3 years ago, it was every other day.

Yes, but many artists are the same age or older and they play much more frequently, and they play longer sets too. So I kind of think age is a cop out. It isn't just their age and every bands circumstance is different.. 4 of them have had some serious health problems over the last decade or so. Throat cancer, shoulders injuries, knee surgery or foot, heart procedures, vocal issues, addiction issues, didn't Steven have bone marrow cancer or something around JPP? They have been playing 1:45 to 2hrs shows for awhile again.. Sure there are some bands their age doing longer shows but Aerosmith play just as long if not longer than alot of other bands around the same age too. Now if you wanna talk ticket prices, that is a different story.

Its hard to say exactly when they started slowing down, but for example, here is the itinerary for 2010's Cocked Locked and Ready to Rock Tour. It was a mix of playing either every other night or every 3rd night. I know at least Joe has been quoted as saying he wishes there was less downtime on the road, but it is what it is.

So mostly every other night in 2010 and even less frequently over the last year -- their playing every 3rd date (skipping two shows in between so they only play a maximum of twice a week) seems to have started last year. I think they were still on every other date in 2012 and they didn't tour the States in 2013 other than a few shows. I think they were spread out in their shows overseas but I don't really remember.

Darling's Waterfront Pavilion in Bangor, Maine, *had* a date with Aerosmith in August. They are saying that the band nixed the last two weeks of the tour(all the east coast dates) so Steven could do something with his country album...

I got 6th row center in Grand Rapids with 16 years seniority in the fan club (part of Group B for the presale). The seating chart is still sort of ambiguous. I know I will be on the left side of the catwalk...but I'm not sure if I will be right on it or just very close to it. Similar to my seat last tour in Detroit...but closer to the main stage this time. I'm also on vacation right now. You might be a diehard Aerosmith fan if you order tickets on vacation! I tried to order on the hotel's computer, but a glitch prevented me from pulling up anything, so I resorted to my iPhone. Then I had a glitch on my phone, but miraculously I was able to secure the seat despite hitting the back button a couple times. These are by far the best seats I have ever gotten. I'm really happy.
I will have to travel 3 hours from Suburban Chicago, but it's totally worth it...their tour last year was amazing and they're not getting any younger.
I'm really sorry to hear they're not doing East Coast shows. That's really shitty. I'm looking forward to Steven's album, but it could have waited a couple weeks. I really feel for you, as well as fans in other locales that haven't seen Aero in awhile (Phoenix, Salt Lake, NC, etc). I'm hoping the Aero gods bless you in the near future.

Have they ever gone on tour of the states and not played Boston? I assume they will be in Manafield in August. Why would they skip the home town? I'm really looking forward to it. Missed last year and my daughter really wants to see them again. She was 7 last time and was sleeping through Dream On, her favorite song!!! Funny how she didn't fall asleep during Big Time Rush although I wish I could have! ?
