I majored in computer programming, but since the jobs are hard to find I now work as an IT specialist. That's the official title anyway, basically I do network administration, help desk, and a little bit of website work. I guess I'm lucky to have found a job and I really enjoy.
So what do you all do for work?

My son will be graduating in Dec with a computer programming degree. Hope he is fortunate as you, Coop.
I am a licensed marriage and family therapist, and work for a non profit organization in an administrative role.

I was an obituary writer for the local paper, but that's not happening anymore because newspapers are going down the toilet. So now I search and search. Apparently obit writer isn't really a transferable skill job. I did get a degree in computer science that's worth about as much as the paper it's written on apparently.

I'm responsible for the administrative operations for a team of commercial and land real estate agents. I basically handle all processing of listing and closing paperwork, preparation and distribution of all marketing materials (including print flyers, web listings, and signage), report writing, general market research, preparation of maps and databases, and researching and analyzing various properties. I also have my broker's license. My background is in geography and urban planning.

Mathematician dabbling in code in order to create weird visual stuff, traveling around the world speaking at tech conferences about the crazy stuff I do.
Because otherwise I couldn't get a job, I'm way too quick to tell people to go hang themselves if they want me to do something I don't agree with.

I'm a web developer and it's really hard because everything I knew goes obsolete once a year. So, the learning never never never stops. I feel like I'm constantly cramming because all the skills I need to do my job are always changing.
I just got a job with MY DREAM EMPLOYER, sort of, but after they offered me a job and did the background check, they sure are taking their time with sending me an official offer letter. I'm going insane with doubt and worry, because I really do badly want to have this job. I'd be kind of in charge of a large university's web presence.
Anaix3l, your job sounds insanely cool.
