I love mashups! Beatles and Motley Crue Mashed Up Into ‘A Hard Girls Night’by Nick DeRiso May 6, 2014 3:16 PM In a moment that has to be heard to believed, John Lennon‘s unforgettable vocal on the Beatles‘ ‘Hard Days Night’ fits perfectly into the crunchy riff of Motley Crue‘s ‘Girls Girls Girls’ from nearly 25 years later. One of the more amazing moments comes when George Harrison‘s original riff is melded with Mick Mars‘ molten solo. Couple it with a video that intercuts classic black-and-white clips of the Beatles with Crue’s original 1987 strip-club video, and — voila! — you have ‘A Hard Girls Night.’ Mashed up courtesy of Wax Audio, the song is mind-blowing fun. Coupled with the video, it becomes a study in the way rock — and groupies — changed in the intervening years. The song is also available as an MP3 download via Soundcloud. Some of Wax Audio’s recent mashups include ‘Stayin’ in Black,’ combining the Bee Gees with AC/DC; and ‘Chemical Driver,’ featuring Dio and the Chemical Brothers, among others. ultimateclassicrock.com/motley-crue-beatles-mashup/Read More: Beatles and Motley Crue Mashed Up Into 'A Hard Girls Night' | ultimateclassicrock.com/motley-crue-beatles-mashup/?trackback=tsmclip

I love Wax Audio's mashups! I've enjoyed their Youtube Channel for a long while, it's very sacrilegious but it's an awesome kind of sacrilege. I think many of you would enjoy it, since they often mashup famous hard rock and classic rock songs, the sort of music we're all fans of here. They're awfully good at hearing musical similarities in these radically-different songs. Here's their youtube channel: www.youtube.com/user/waxaudio/videosHere are some of my favorite totally-sacreligious mashups they've done:

Not on their youtube channel, but one of Wax Audio's masterpieces is Iron Maiden's "Rime of The Ancient Mariner" mashed up with Frankie Goes To Hollywood's "Relax."
(This is titled "Iron Maiden Goes To Hollywood," but they also did a "Maiden Goes to Bollywood" version where "The Flight of Icarus" is mashed-up with some Bollywood pop song.)
Wax Audio didn't do this one, but I think it's pretty clever and funny. "Crazy Train" and "Take On Me" -- I love the way they mashed up the music videos for both these songs, too.

Okay, I must confess I enjoyed the Beatles/Motley Crue mash-up way more than I should have. Though not a Crue fan, I always like the rhythm guitars in Girls. Funny how Georges solo blows Mick's out of the water.
