Motherfuckers cancel actual paid up gigs that have been on the cards for two years to laurel-sit and koitoi to the almighty dollar for that one last pay off?
Don’t blame them tbh. Will need to see if any dates / finances work. I suspect not.
Which, in the grand scheme of things, means my last trip to Vegas to see them and finish my tattoo was the right decision!

I would guess these dates were already paid for by mgm so either they do the shows or return the money. Not a hard decision to make lol Having the dates 3 days apart kind of sucks. To see 2 shows means a 4 night trip at a minimum.

I agree on the 4 night minimum, but thankfully, because my husband and I have players' cards and always use MGM properties, we constantly get offers for free nights. So, I have December 5 and December 8 Aerosmith tickets at the end of the catwalk. And we have 4 free nights at Park MGM, so very convenient. Only problem with Ticketmaster is they wouldn't let me leave an empty seat. I wanted seats on Tom's side and picked 2 seats where 3 were available. Ticketmaster came back with a notice that said you had to leave at least 2 seats open.

Thinking about taking the plunge on a Vegas show - or should I go with Fenway? I haven’t seen Aero since the Honkin’ on Bobo tour, so I’m way overdue. Plus, I have a ST backstage pass I got two Christmases ago that I’m hoping I can finally cash in!
I’ve never been to Vegas or Boston (two of the few high profile U.S. cities I’ve never been to). I have some airline refunds I need to use, so really the only cost is going to be the hotel and show itself.
Recommendations?

If for no other reason than the venue. In Vegas you have a state of the art arena designed for concerts, while Fenway is a 110 year old oddly shaped baseball stadium. I've seen shows at over 20 different venues and Fenway has far and away the worst sound. I'm going to the Fenway show because it's so close, but I'd much, much rather see them in Vegas. I'm still debating a trip out to Vegas. I think the best bet will be to give them a few shows to shake the rust off, but not get too settled in to the point where they become complacent. It seems every tour they start out with a bunch of deep cuts, then slowly revert back to the same old song and dance.

I’m pretty sure that due to other commitments I won’t be able to go until late summer or mid-September anyway. It’s going to be difficult, but I’m going to try my best not to look at the setlists before my show - would be nice not to have preset expectations….

the sound at the vegas venue is not good imo. i saw some shows there 2020. because of the sound i couldnt enjoy the show so much. it just doesnt feel like being in an aerosmith concert there even you you actually are there seeing them. it isnt that they are old. it´s just the sound. still wanna go seeing them again .
are there any cheapier motels in vegas for like 50/night? last time it was hard to find . i found one but prices there are up im sure. they easily want like 200/night everywhere. and in these cheapier ones there are no cooling systems i guess. how badly hot is the weather in vegas in june/july? i dont know if i can sleep anything in these conditions. having 2 free days between shows sucks.

Just out of curiosity, what didn't you like about the sound in Vegas? I've generally heard good things about it, but I know newer technology doesn't always mean better. Was the issue volume level, clarity, poor mixing/balance? I saw them at Foxwoods (Connecticut) back in 2013, by far the smallest place I've ever seen them play. The sound quality is usually excellent there, but on that night their stacks were too damn loud for a place that small. A few songs in and my hearing was blown, everyone started to sound like Mickey Mouse, and my head was still ringing days after.

the sound wasnt too loud. i think you can even hear from the videos done there. imo they are not that enjoyable. and i think it is because of the sound. hard to put words why. it just doesnt have that enormous live sound like an aerosmith concert in bigger venues at least had. they marketed this vegasthing with thx effects and extraordinary sound but i dont like it. hear some complain from others too

I remember the Vegas sound clearly. It was so clear, maybe overly bright but incredibly detailed. especially the two guitars. It was also my first aerosmith show not in first row so I can't compare the sound to that messy, in your face experience you get in front of the stage.
Maybe It could have been less bright, louder and and more "atmos" as yes it was clear all around but didn't get a 360 directional experience as promised. Probably the best seat is in front of the catwalk, slightly above ground level, very centered.
And yes I'd go to Vegas for the quality of the production but Fenway might be their last big outdoor gig with hopefully a different setlist. If I lived in the US I'd go to both venues for sure.

I had no issue with the sound in Vegas. We were on the right side, not centred, and it was clear as could be. Volume could've been punched up a tad, but no complaints.

To Arrowmith: June/July in Vegas is BRUTAL! Temps are well over 100. You leave your hotel at night to go somewhere and you think it will feel cooler outside, but when the hotel's outside doors open, it's like stepping into an oven. I've been there many times in the summer to see Aerosmith shows and to vacation.

The saddest thing is that they're recycling everything from the previous residency... title, font, concept, stage design, props and probably setlists too... doesnt sound too good on paper tbh but the production value for a band this old was incredibily high in 2019. And again, with the pandemia, war, inflation and all I really Don't blame them.
Also I just checked the same seat I had in 2019 is now 257 dollars when it used to be under 100-90 dollars. WTF?!

I had one from TicketMaster in an email (I already bought my tickets with the Aeroforce One presale code). The TicketMaster code is TMAerosmith.
