I was trying to find the section in the Walk This Way book that talked about Julia, I believed the book changed her name to protect her privacy. I couldn't find it though.

Interesting interview. Good to hear that at least Steven had second thoughts later on. Not to get political, but having a “choice” doesn’t make the choice the right thing to do.

Sure, but who should have that choice? A woman herself, or the government? A woman may have a pregnancy as a result of a rape and as such did not consent to having her body taken over for the next 9 months. No sane person wants abortions. The goal is zero abortions. ZERO. But as long as rape keeps happening, as long as access to birth control and sex education keeps getting blocked and restricted, people are going to want abortions. And let it be their decision.

Banning abortions does not stop abortions. It stops access to safe, controlled abortions. It stops access to abortions happening in clean, sterile clinics. Forcing women to have an unwanted child doesn’t just take 9 months of her life, it’s 20years afterwards, it’s their mental & physical health. Women are not baby factories and should not be forced to have a child they don’t want by any man, be that partner or government. And the whole “life begins at conception” is forcing religion into a place it should never go. If life is so sacred, stop selling guns, and by the way you need to start making sure everyone has access to free healthcare. Or is it only fetal life that is sacred? 🤔

What happened when abortions were banned in communist Romania: the mothers killed themselves or at least damaged their health for life trying to have abortions anyway, the fathers killed themselves when they couldn't afford to care for a too big family (that's how I found out what suicide was while I was still in kindergarten... one of our neighbours hanged himself because he couldn't take the responsibility anymore), the kids got abandoned. Sometimes even in a toilet or a bin on the street where they probably died of starvation, dehydration or got eaten by stray dogs or a bear raiding for some food. At best they ended up in orphanages. That soon got overcrowded. The kids in there grew up without much of an education, without perspectives. Success in life is most often relative - the closer the relative, the greater the success. But if you're in an orphanage, you know nobody. So the most likely career choices after they were 18 and out of the orphanage weren't within the boundaries of what's legal. Then 1989 happened, borders opened, people could come in and out. And we became famous for our orphanage situation and the criminals we "exported". Because there was just more they could steal in Western Europe. Ceaușescu had pumped pretty much all the money here into satisfying his ego... and taking this abomination apart and selling it piece by piece was not as doable as random muggings in Paris. Forcing people into something they feel they desperately need to avoid is going to backfire.

We need to never go back to back alley wire hanger abortions. But abortions past first trimester is ridiculous.

That’s a conversation for the heated debate thread... some women will barely know they’re pregnant until about 10 weeks, and you’re saying they only have another 2 weeks to make a life changing decision? Not helpful. If the fetus is unable to sustain itself outside of the womb - even with life support systems available in an ICU - then you’re forcing the woman to act as a life support system...

I could not care less about the subject matter, I thought it was amusing Steven Tylers pictures were on Tuckers show. You are the one who changed it to a "Heated" topic. You are not being helpful.

In response to you, when you turned it political. do I mention abortion before you? No, the video you posted about Steven Tyler’s ex having an abortion was nothing to do with abortion.
