consequenceofsound.net/2020/11/ticketmaster-covid-19-vaccine-entry/Sounds good to me. Just give me this fucking vaccine already! PS. OK, perhaps not this part: "In addition to this verification system, Ticketmaster plans to eliminate paper tickets, restricting the ability for tickets to be transferred or sold to someone else.". Ticketma$ter a-holes...

Well, I don't have a smartphone, so that's the end of concerts for me.

The longer this pandemic drags on, the less likely Ticketmaster survives.
They've abused the consumer and monopolized the industry far too long. They're not the essential service they think they are, and deserve to go down.

The longer this pandemic drags on, the less likely Ticketmaster survives. Not sure... I'd wager a bet that they have ripped us off long enough to have enough $$$ stashed away to survive. They've abused the consumer and monopolized the industry far too long. Amen to that... They're not the essential service they think they are, and deserve to go down. If they were to suddenly disappear that would create some unbelievable chaos and would take quite long for other companies to take over. But on the other hand - there's so little going on now, that perhaps that would be the best moment for it. And they definitely deserve to go down...

TicketBastard signed a contract through which they'll be pumping some 3 billions (not millions, billions!) into a fancy new HQ. True, they did it before the pandemic hit, but that's a shit ton of money. Assuming you make $1K a day (yeah, good joke) and you work every single day of the year, you'd need to have started working during Neolithic times in order to have earned this amount of money until today. That's definitely not how they made that kind of money considering they've been around for less than 50 years. They made it by ripping off fans, artists and venues alike. They deserve to go down, but pretty sure those they've ripped off have fewer resources and will go down first. Some venues have closed down. Some people in the music industry (not just musicians) have moved to doing other things to make a living and may not come back after the pandemic. And we'll see about what fans can still afford when this is over. Though at this point still no guaranteed end in sight. Also, this: Make no mistake, TicketBastard is the crying kid who's safe on the side of the pool.

Make no mistake, TicketBastard is the crying kid who's safe on the side of the pool. TicketBastard is the person lurking in the locker room during the swim lesson, rummaging through peoples shit and sneaking off with their valuables. Imagine the fees they are going to tack on for their new vaccine\negative test app? They'll license some cheap crappy software then charge concert goers at least 5 times their cost.

Ticketma$ter a-holes... The jabbing has started today in the UK. I'll be well down the pecking order but I'd be happy to take a test before gigs. Only problem might be going to a gig in another country.

I am not planning on getting the vaccine.. This is insanity... I guess I would get a test but I am not paying for one every time I go to a fucking show... Imagine the booking fee for the test? I won't be getting the vaccine anytime soon so it's good we have the option to get a test before the gig. I am hoping the tests will be free in the UK. The only problem for me might be if I go to a gig abroad as I have one in Poland booked and possibly Czech Republic.

Why would the tests be for free? I wouldn't count on that, unless UK is much more generous with its citizens, than I thought As for myself, I'm gonna get the vaccine the first opportunity I get. And then I am free to fly on an airplane, go to the concerts, no quarantine and first and foremost - I won't be afraid to transfer this shit to anybody... Just my 2 cents...

People are still spreading this even with the vaccine. The reactions some people are having to the vaccine is worse than the virus itself. This virus is somewhere between a cold and a flu. If these vaccines work, why do we still have to wear masks and social distance?
