What’s up the band? Are they done? Tomass, what have you heard? Anything? Why are they not touring? Brad implied they were pretty much done.

They have a european tour scheduled for 2022, if things go right around the world, they will probably do it, and perhaps a few residency dates. But after that (or if that doesn't get done) I really don't think there's much touring left, or at all. Maybe one offs here and there, depending on the income. I have lost faith in any new music release, they had more time than ever to create music, and they have the technology to do it without being in the same space, it's pretty clear that they don't care about it anymore. I keep my fingers crossed for that Boxset that was being discussed last year.

I don't know if Tomass or anyone has heard anything but I am having a hard time believing that they aren't just done. I mean these guys clearly have no interest in the band ever playing together again, yet alone even being in the same room together again. Brad has implied more than once over the last year that he is all set and has no interest. They don't owe us anything at this point, but the lack of presence from the band anywhere since the pandemic is embarrassing. They can't even post on social media like "Hello, we are still alive, this is what we have been up too..."
Keep in MIND... The Rolling Stones are going on tour in Septemeber... those guys are all pushing 80. They make Aerosmith look laughable at this point.
Chris Robinson made a good point about the Black Crowes hitting the road again the other day- he was like all these bands that don't know if they should play right now or whatever- it is like a bunch of planes cruising around in circles waiting to land. Somebody has to land first, it is gonna happen. Just go out and play!

They can't even post on social media like "Hello, we are still alive, this is what we have been up too..." You know what would have been cool and fun? Videos of them playing some songs. I mean, not like a streaming show, where they are all together playing a full set. Just a video of, lets say Brad playing Last Child at home, or Tom playing Sweet Emotion on bass, Joey playing Walk This Way, Joe playing Combination. Just for fun, and to maybe teach the fans who play instruments how to do the songs. It's not something that requires a lot of equipment to get done, it's pretty simple actually. It's weird to think they're done, especially considering how they like money, but they have enough to stay home for another year (or 50 more years) and go out on 2022 and play the European tour. If they retire, I think they'll go out with the Fenway "50th anniversary show" or at least, that's what I would do.

I haven't really heard anything at all but haven't really asked either.. I love Aerosmith to death but am kind of bored of them at the moment. Postponing the Fenway show for another year was pretty weak. Saw the Black Crowes last week and Guns N' Roses last night. Getting my R&R fix elsewhere!!

My wife and I attended the 4/21/19 Vegas gig, the last show before Joey dropped. As we exited the venue, I commented to her that, for all we know, this could be the last time we see them.
It saddens me to think I may have been right.

I was at the one before that (18/04 - was hoping to do 21st as well but flight back to London was too early for me to consider it ) and thought exactly the same thing…

My last show was July 4, 2019 in Las Vegas. I had tickets for 2 more shows May 2020, but as we all know, that didn't happen. I'm also beginning to feel like I've seen my last Aerosmith show and it bums me out too. I always use to say that was what I worked for, to buy Aerosmith tickets. I retire tomorrow, so looks like the end of seeing the Bad Boys of Boston.

no disrespect but I think maybe Aerosmith being old people living in USA and watching a lotta television they totally freaked out once the pandemic broke out. All of a sudden they were like, screw traveling, I'm loaded with dough, I can stay home and still have fun. It's just a random thought but I watched the Rockin' the Sun DVD this morning where the band said screw radiation, screw earthquakes, if Japan wants to have a rock show, we're there even if it's the last rock show on the planet.
what Sebastian Bach said the other day on twitter really struck home. There is no rock and roll anymore. It's gone. Albums don't sell. Shows are cancelled. Fans freak out. Chicks are obeise. Merch is lame and overpriced. Legends die on a monthly basis. It's like Lemmy said - I remember life before there was rock and roll. Before the Beatles, before Elvis. And now it's life after rock and roll. It was here and it was good while it lasted

Apart from the covid situation, I don't think the band is over. Brad is the one who doesn't care and seems to not be getting along with the others. Joey went to extensive lengths in trying to get back on stage with the band so Idk...

I feel like I have known this all along, but somehow only hearing/reading somebody say/write it... yeah, that really hit the nail on the head. Truer words have never been spoken... This is so sad... but true...

Albums don't sell for anyone. Shows have been cancelled for everyone. They've been saying rock is dead for forty years. We don't need Bach being another doomsayer. Covid has seriously impacted every industry, plus young people don't listen to music much. For 70's bands like Aerosmith time is short, but for bands 80's and newer it's far from over.
