I've always liked S.O.S. I heard the live version on Live! Bootleg first before the studio recording. I'm not really familiar with Tesla but it would be interesting to hear their version.

Ted I think they had some hits in the 80s. Unfortunately their band name is now more associated with the car company. Can’t help with press and their google searches!

The first couple Tesla records, Mechanical Resonance and The Great Radio Controversy, were very strong meat 'n potatoes 80's rock. Little Suzie and Modern Day Cowboy were pretty big hits. Their acoustic thing, Five Man Acoustical Jam, did pretty well too.
Perennial openers. I interviewed vocalist Jeff Keith when they opened for Poison in '89. Nice guy. Not surprisingly, they destroyed Poison. They came back the following year with Motley Crue, and I interviewed guitarist Tommy Skeoch. He was a dick.

Tesla is a decent band, good musicians. Probably best known for their ballad Love Song.

I like some Tesla and that was a valiant effort bit the vocals were tough for me to take on this one.
