More than likely waiting to see what the outcome will be with Tyler's court thing. Who knows? Joe's obviously not waiting around for it.

Dates on hold... the uglier ST's lawsuit gets I feel like the less likely this is to happen...

I figured that. If it were happening, tickets would already be on sale.

I don't get the consensus here that allegations against Tyler would preclude an Aerosmith tour. It's not as if he'll face jail time.
Hell, President Trump's running for President again, and he's under indictment.

Hell, President Trump's running for President again, and he's under indictment. It's not about what Tyler did 50 years ago or how people will feel about him, it's about sponsors and enterprises not wanting to be linked to a guy who (allegedly) abused a girl. It's about them keeping their image clean, in this whole "cancel era", because that means less money income for them. They don't care if Steven is or isn't guilty, they care about money and not losing any

I agree with Selly on this one, I don't think a civil complaint against Steven is the reason they aren't touring. Likely it's the same age\health and availability issues that have slowed them down in recent years, and unfortunately aren't likely to magically disappear.
Motley Crue continues to perpetually tour in spite of a litany of arrests. Most notably, their fat drunk singer caused a crash that killed guy and severely injured 2 others. Then the drummer served jail time for beating\kicking his wife while she was holding their baby.
The tour rumors always seemed like a long shot at best. I'm sure there are ongoing discussions and logistics planning, but I think the rumor mill jumped the gun assuming anything was imminent.

I also agree with Selly. Hell, if they thought big, easy money was to be made, I think they’d do it in a minute - despite any allegations. I cannot see concerns about his reputation preventing Steven from that. Something other than that is holding them up, imho.

Something other than that is holding them up, imho. I hope they are trying to find a way for Joey to be part of it, and that's what is holding them down.

Sad about Joey, but hopefully we'll actually see this tour happen.

I am surprised they are going through with it with ST’s lawsuit and his defense, which is a bit nutty. “I could have sex with her because I was her legal guardian”. What?
The whole thing is clickbaity and will unfortunately steal the thunder these guys deserve. Just wish it would go away.

This is interesting for many reasons. I still agree with selly that even announced I don't see this happening. At least in full. I think it comes down to age and how to solve a problem like Joey Kramer. Joe's statement about Joey fascinates me. The band is very careful about anything said in regards to Joey and his involvement. This may be the first time the band has publicly acknowledged Joey's inability to continue to play, kind of making it fact instead of the rumor we all kinda believe anyway. We still do not know the extent of the fallout of Joey's lawsuit against the band and how feelings are between everyone since that as well. Factor that with Joey's health, we'll see how much playtime he gets.
I'll be real interested to see if this goes through and at what capacity it does. And, no I don't see the Julia/Diana lawsuit having anything to do with this. If anything this is the band and Steven's way of showing how little they care about the lawsuit. Making plans (even if they change) and going about their day to day business. And let's be real here, what can come out in court about Steven and his behavior over the past 50 years that Steven hasn't openly bragged about anyway? It really changes nothing except maybe Steven's finances at the end of the day.

Thanks for posting this! If the drummer fill-in is John Douglas again, then I hope he leaves his tin cans and metal buckets at home this time, because that's what it sounds like he's banging on Also, funny the author said that Steven has been struggling with abuse since the mid 80's. Where was he in the 70s?
