The age old question: If your house was burning down and you had 5 minutes to save stuff, what do you take?
For me, family first, then pets, then my wallet, guitars and I'm guessing I'd be out of time by then.
EDIT: Laptop would be nice if possible.

^ You pretty much nailed it Coop. I would add our wedding album (28 years and going strong) and my iPod. I might actually leave my guitars and let insurance cover them. Then I could get a couple of new ones : )

Weird you should bring this up! Family or friends staying over would be first and only! We are renting to be closer to my parents (we are just across the park, I can actually cut across the park walking and get there quicker than driving around it) We were going to build on a block of land we had here but my parents want to stay where they are ( as you would if you could at 83 and 85) We both realised we hate it here. This house we are renting is an accident waiting to happen and my hubby collects stamps and I have my Aero collection which I am winding down. Fathers Day here is in September also hubby's birthday, he wants another fireproof safe.
But humans, every thing else no matter what or how much it is worth, is replaceable no matter how much it means to you! (we don't have pets other than fish in a tank)

^ I hear ya Zen, but the question is, if you had time. Why leave something that means a lot to you if there is time to safely save it?

Jason and the beagle. Everything else is replaceable. Except for maybe my Aerosmith coasters that were an Aero Secret Santa gift, created from actual concert photos. Maybe those too.

Assuming my family got out of there along with me, I'd take those 5 minutes to save my bass, my amplifier, my guitar, and all my Aerosmith albums and memorabilia....and yes, the laptop if possible.

I actually got what you meant, but the weird thing is the older I get, I just don't seem to give a sh!t about possessions, that said, I wouldn't like to lose any of it either. If you asked this like even ten years ago, then I would have listed my Aerosmith collection, my vinyl etc. Only thing that did come to mind would be irreplaceable photo's and other family orientated things that are really irreplaceable if burnt.

Family (or other people in the house), pets, and then if time my wallet because it has my whole identity in it, and photos, especially the old ones of my parents and grandparents and others who are no longer with us. We have a fire proof safe that has all our passports and other important papers.
