Hey all, Recently rejoined the Aeroforce community after a 15-year layoff (and my first time joining since the old AF1 forum). I attempted to search the forum history on here before posting to avoid redundancy, but my efforts seemed to turn up nothing. Anyways, as the subject suggests, I was wondering if anyone has ever come across, owned, or has any info on the Dr J Jones and the Interns shirt. I remember it popping up online back in 2015 on Facebook and Defunkd—if anyone remembers that forum! Here's the link to that: www.defunkd.com/forum/what-s-it-worth-f20/jones-and-the-interns-shirt-aerosmith-pseudonym-t1597.htmlBut the same shirt, from the buyer back in 2015, appears to have popped up on eBay and sold today: www.ebay.com/itm/335188395118Hope someone can shed light on the history of this shirt. It's truly amazing! All the best, aerofan567

Listed for $2500! I wonder how much they accepted for it?

The band used that name when they played small clubs incognito to not draw a huge crowd and create chaos. They played a defunct Hollywood club called the Starwood in the late 70's under that name. I used to frequent the Starwood and would have loved to have been at that show but didn't know about it until after the fact.

I didn't realize they made it all the way out to California for those 10 or so shows under the "Dr J Jones" pseudonym. The back of this tee says "Live at Paradise", the club in Boston. Seems the shirt was from the August 8th, 1978 show where they recorded Last Child for the Live Bootleg! album. Wish we knew more about the shirt. Pretty incredible to see this pop up for sale.

The Starwood show was likely '78. Aerosmith was in SoCal a lot then: CalJam 2, two shows at the Santa Monica Civic where they recorded Chip Away for Bootleg. Perhaps they were in town more for the Sgt. Peppers filming.
