How will you feel about a substantially shortened set list and or with Joe singing perhaps 3 or 4 songs, if Steven’s doctors restrict him to say no more than 12 or so songs per show?
I would be ok with it. Something like this…kinda sorta balanced for all generations.
1. Train 2. Mama Kin 3. Elevator 4. Cryn’ 5. Back Back Train (Perry vocals) 6. Rag Doll 7. Movin Out 8. Seasons of Wither 9. Let The Music Do The Talking (Perry vocals) 10. Last Child 11. Janie’s Got A Gun 12. Combination (Perry Vocals) 13. Same Old Song and Dance 14. Dream On (ok w backing track for scream) 15. Walk This Way ENCORE 16. Sweet Emotion

I was thinking about this, and here's what I came up with:
01 Let the music do the talking (or Train (slow and fast), Mama Kin, Make it) 02 Young lust 03 Love in an elevator 04 Cryin' 05 Livin' on the edge 06 Janie (or Adam's apple, Sick as a dog, No more no more, Rag doll, Eat the rich, Pink...) 07 Hangman (or Bacon biscuit blues) 08 Seasons 09 Milk cow blues (or Movin' out) 10 Red house (Joe on vocals) (or Back back train) 11 Combination (Joe on vocals) (or Bright light fright) 12 Stop messin' around (Joe on vocals) 13 I don't want to miss a thing 14 Rats in the cellar (or Rattlesnake shake, Oh well) 15 Sweet emotion (with Dazed and confused, Peter Gunn theme...) 16 Toys in the attic (or Dude) -encore- 17 Dream on (with Home tonight, You see me crying, We all fall down or another one as an intro) 18 Walk this way
Most of these songs have lengthy solos, so Steven should be able to rest pretty well. Also, Joe's block would be welcome. In this way, we get a longer show without tiring Steven.

In another thread Mia complained about her father just talking. You have to wonder if Tyler can sing at all. The days of the Demon of Screamin' may be over.

I just do not see any way that this tour will ever happen. Hope I'm wrong.

I just do not see any way that this tour will ever happen. Hope I'm wrong. Unfortunately I don't either. I'm sure they would like to just add a year onto the previous dates, but putting together a good crew is likely going to be tough. Can they get anyone to commit to 5-6 months at this point? If money is no object and you can spend half the year furloughed it's a dream job, otherwise it's a huge, huge gamble.

It doesn’t look like Steven is even supposed to be talking yet. That doesn’t sound good for the tour to restart anytime this year.

If the tour is a no-go, I don't mind waiting a year, a year and a half and put on one final show, all 5 members, Joey included, and go out the way it's supposed to be, have Steven sing 4/5 songs, Joe 1, some instrumental jam in the middle and give Steven time to catch up some air and continue for another 4/5 songs. That could add up to some 20/25 songs and would leave everyone pleased. If Joey needs a rest too, fine, have Joey play 4/5 songs and John Douglas another 4/5 and switch them up.

Last year I saw Cheap Trick and left the show feeling like I had left a relative at the hospital, probably never to see him or her again. Rick Nielsen's voice eas weak, Robin's son taking care of most of his duties. I had never left a show so saddened. I've left shows thinking that maybe the band sucked that night but this was different. I don't want to see Aerosmith, or anyone else for that matter, again under such circumstances. If they can't represent I am ok going to see Brad and Joe solo while that is still possible, and will watch the DVDs of old like I do with Dio and Rush, until my day comes too.

We are sadly approaching a day where each show could be their last. I'll take whatever form of the "5 original guys on the same stage" they can provide. Even if it's a mix. I mean, they've already replaced Joey, so have him show up for at least 40/50% of the show would be a win-win for me.

Well, I'm from the Balkans, so the probability of seeing them near me is next to 0. At this point, even if they release an old concert on DVD / Blu-ray and premier it in cinemas across the globe, I'd be totally OK with that. When (or if) they perform again, anywhere in the world, Joey should be there physically. Whether he plays a whole show, half a show, 1 song, or just stays on the stage with a darabuka in his hands, he's a part of the band and should be there. I get chills every time I hear his drum solo from the 70's, just as my (and Joe's) mouth drops when I hear Steven hitting that high note in Dream On.

I might be in denial but my outlook isn’t as grim as others’. I think the information vacuum has allowed us to assume the worst. Who knows.
I can’t figure out whether these guys want to do one last blow out show or even like playing with each other. Joe Perry seems to enjoy playing, but their lack of creativity over the years and lack of communication suggest there is some lack of will to push this band forward. Hell, these guys can’t even release some live shows we are all yearning for. Is it Steven? Their management? Or them just not giving a fuck since they are all well past retirement age

Given the price attached to this tour, a shortened setlist, guest vocalists or any other form of piecemeal Aero seems unacceptable to me. People paid LARGE to see this legendary band one more time. Delivering anything less than that is a rip off. Plain and simple.
The more time passes, the more disgusted I get with this whole 'we'll hold your money, and get back to you when/if there's a show' approach. The Def/Crue thing set the precedent, but that was covid driven, an unusual circumstance. This is not that. This is simply the artist unable to fulfill their obligation. Once the extent of the injury was assessed, the whole shebang should've been straight-up cancelled.
This ongoing silence is leaving a really bad taste.
I wonder how much interest revenue has been generated for Ticketmaster so far...?

I don't want to add to the negative vibes about this tour, but I had my tickets refunded. If they do get to go out, I think all the hype has now deflated. It has for me anyway.
I also wonder if the tour were to resume, would the Black Crowes still be the support? They are releasing a new album in March and I'd say they would want to promote that on a headlining tour.

I get why folks are clamoring for an update. Even a “no update” update would be appreciated. That said, they did offer refunds, although the window was somewhat narrow. If folks kept their tickets, they knew they were betting on a 75 year old recovering from a serious injury.
Perhaps they should reopen the refund window or cancel the shows they know for sure they won’t do. Like Omaha. I assume these guys can’t do a 40 date tour. Maybe a few one off shows like Boston, New York, Chicago, and LA
