So they're redoing the first three shows?! The tour starts with Pittsburgh, Philadelphia... where they did get to play last September. Lucky bastards living there! Good ticket sales. Might as well get two chances at that well. They are not redoing the UBS Long Island show. If anything I think sales in the repeat cities may be somewhat depressed. Not everyone is as gung-ho as we are. The more casual fan may say they're good with having seen it last year. It is strange though. Do they rehearse for the tour close to these cities? I dunno. I have friends I could see in Lancaster so Pitt is possible to try and catch them before any other eventualities. MSG for sure. Maybe NJ instead of NYE Boston as I'm not going to get my 21 yo son to hang out with his parents on 2 consecutive New Years Eves. I was able to sell him Boston last year but we ended up seeing Billy Joel on NYE instead. Maybe I can sell him NJ on 12/28 this year. Buffalo...maybe last minute with good weather.

It’s strange to do Philly and Pittsburgh again. Why?

Still no news of Joey, but let's wait for the official statement... Well, seeing what John Douglas posted an hour ago, I guess Joey won't be involved, which is really sad, but expected. (I don't know hot to embed the link so you cann see it directly, sorry)

This is just dumb. They booked 40 dates last year, which no reasonable person thought they could pull off. They made 3 shows before Steven mangled his vocal chords.
Now, rather than reprioritize the remaining 37 shows, they not only book 40 again, but start with 2 of the 3 cities they played last time...

Well, here we go again. Hope there's "no surprize" this time around. Ha, ha.

Unfortunately, one could say there was "no surprize" last year either after how the Vegas thing ended... I would like to hope they can pull it off, especially for the fans who spend hard-earned money on these shows. But hopes and expectations are two very different things.

I don't think Steven's vocal chords will be at as much risk. Doing the same thing expecting different results not likely. I hope fans can accept the way I think it is going to go down. It's the only way.

I was at the Philly show last year and I’m shocked that they are redoing it. I will definitely look into going but will play the game again and buy last minute - The sound last time was pretty bad though - vocals were drowned out and Steven seemed irritated a few times - it was opening night though. I’ve never had sound like that at Wells Fargo Center but that was a little disappointing.

I really do hate sounding cynical, but we shall see...

I am kind of pissed that my Tampa show was about a couple weeks away when they postponed and now I have to wait until the end of the tour and meanwhile, places that already had shows are getting second shows. I won’t be as pissed if the show actually happens, but if Steven goes down again then I will be mad.
The only good thing is I believe they will do everything they can to keep Steven’s voice sharp. I think you will see more pre-recorded vocals and/or more background singers. It will be interesting to see what the set lists will look like because I am sure there will be some adjustments so Steven doesn’t overuse his voice.

Chris was dead on. Dates via Aerosmith.com www.aerosmith.com/tourTickets on sale Friday. If anybody wants to get me 2 for NYE let me know Thank you for the citation. Enjoy your shows all. fb.com/aerofanatic... blocking me from your facebook page. I thought we were done with the high school antics but I guess some things never change with you. All because your fragile ego was hurt. 😂

All because your fragile ego was hurt. 😂 High school antics, like bickering in public instead of sending a private message like an adult. Anyway, I'm cautiously optimistic. Tons of people thought there was no way the tour would be resumed/restarted and yet here we are.

I hope they have a great tour and that we have a great time going. It is ridiculous they are re-doing Philly and Pittsburgh. Just silly
I’ll look to going to one or a few of these shows but will buy tickets last minute. I was at the Long Island show and got tickets the week before - great seats and at half the cost of what they were previously marked as Platinum Tickets.
Wish Aerosmith did an interview or something to coincide with this announcement. This announcement doesn’t have the fanfare it deserves

I am sure he posted some insults about me to his clique on his page but whatever. On another note, most of consider “new Aerosmith” to be anything from Permanent Vacation on…that’s about 37 years ago now. It’s funny calling a 37 year old album “new” 😂 Of course in fairness, I don’t think you could consider any of their albums “new” at this point…since MFAD is almost 12 years old.
