I'm not seeing the problem with the few shows from the start getting played again. Any chance for people to see the band before they hang it up ought to be celebrated. Yes there is risk. There is risk that if they skipped those shows that Steven's voice could break by show two of the rescheduled dates. There's risk one of the guys drops of a cardiac event or an undisclosed health thing before the tour restarts or during. That's life. I know a lot of people are frustrated and a little impatient because they have waited for so long and have paid so much money but the inclusion of the first few dates doesn't seem like it it that big of a thing for the meltdowns it is causing. Just seems like an overreaction.
That said, while I think it's great that they are playing these shows again and giving these fans another chance I won't be attending. I was at the first Philly show and it was all right. I enjoyed myself enough that I don't need to revisit it. Especially given the recent ticket prices. But then again, there is a major life changing event happening for me in the next couple of months that will make it more difficult to see them in the Philly area again but that's not here or there.

I’m curious if you noticed the sound issue in Philly last year? We could hardly make out anything Steven said and if we didn’t know the lyrics you’d have a hard time knowing what he was singing. It was a decent show, and I was happy to have that as the farewell - it had some stand out moments and I have to cut them some slack-it wasn’t going to be like one of their 90’s shows. I would have been more upset about the sound had I paid 1K for two seats - definitely won’t be doing that this time either. I won’t buy right away and hope I can get decent tickets at a good price like last time but I’ll try to go one more time.

From where I was sitting, upper level, 1-2 sections from the stage in row 2, the crowes mix was horrible. When everyone was singing and playing, you couldn't hear much of the lyrics. Aerosmith had a better mix but it wasn't the best either.

ninelives, I have mixed feeling about the last Philly show still. Nostalgia-wise it was a great show. I did enjoy myself and I don't remember being too upset about the sound issues as I come to expect them at the Wells Fargo nowadays. I won't pretend it was the best I ever seen them, and I ruffled some feathers here as a result I recall. But I remember being satisfied with it being my last time seeing them. So yeah, I guess that does make the Philly and Pittsburgh shows a little odd I guess. Aeronyc or Aeroknows or Aerosomethingorother made a point on page three about casuals not coming back out for it again. They might be right. I'm not 100% sure local old heads will be coming back for a second time either if the prices are the same. Time will tell I guess.
devils744, I do remember thinking that the Crowes mix was awful. Twice As Hard I remember being particularly rough.

Aerosmith had a better mix but it wasn't the best either. Yes, the Black Crowes sounded worse - I was in the lower level about two sections from the main stage-It was probably bad everywhere. Worst sound I’ve ever had at a concert, unfortunately.

If an opportunity presents itself as time gets closer I might go if the price is right. I really only care about getting tickets for NYE. I would like that to be my Aerosmith goodbye for sentimental reasons. In the event NYE doesn't happen, I'm fine with last year's Philly show being it for me. I thought it was as solid of a set as you will get.

Well I’ll be checking tomorrow to see how the sale goes - maybe I’ll buy but I’m guessing I’ll be waiting.

Well I’ll be checking tomorrow to see how the sale goes - maybe I’ll buy but I’m guessing I’ll be waiting. Pitt, NJ, MSG and Buffalo on my radar. Boston looks out. Amtrak from NYC to Buffalo is 61 dollars each way with a schedule that fits perfectly for the show. I guess I need a ticket before travel but for my local shows I wouldn't even think of touching a ticket until close to showtime. The first opportunity is when all those Platinum tix are converted to Standard Admission. The next is when the stage is set up and those last few by the stage are deemed safe to release. There are a few other tix that come out in-between. C'mon folks, this ain't our first rodeo!

I still like to tune in and see what's available and what actually sold so I know for myself what the real demand is, not the perceived demand as choreographed by TM with their pricing and availability strategies.

Lol I’ll definitely be watching - very curious about the Philly demand this time around. I played the game with tickets last time and won! That alone should help me resist (but it’s never easy)

Stand outside of the venue - when you hear someone singing "All I want is a remedy", then it 'might' be safe to start looking for tickets.

If you can hold out that long you might get the tix they were holding for Taylor and Travis who decided not to show up after all. Seriously though, for the KISS Dynasty tour (1979?) we arrived at MSG around showtime for the sold out show and when Ace said hello to his parents they stood up in the seats directly behind us next row back. There are only a few of these tix however and you have to be both extremely patient and lucky. Platinum conversions and stage setup are more reliable these days. UBS stage setup releases last September were around 9PM the day before the show.

Hey, ..um.. does anyone know who first cited these dates? It's not a place you can get to by a boat or a plane
