You didn't read the last two PMs I sent you on AF1. Therefore, I trust you've logged out and haven't been able to get back in.
You were registered here under the name "Meow." Have you unregistered? Please email me at skywalker1701x@gmail.com, so that we can stay in touch.
I don't know what your real name is, so I can't look you up on Facebook.

Hi, yeah I can't log in anymore. The only hope is that they are taking a time out and at least keeping the original board and making everyone pay to post now or at least keep it on their site archived. There is a lot to read. What do you think? I definitely like the layout of Aeroforceone much more than Aero.com.

Ok, good, you're here!
I like that Aerosmith.com and aeroforceone.com are both responsive, it's good that they're keeping up with current trends. But, yeah, they really need to keep that forum archived. I think it's terrible that some new company can come and delete NINE YEARS OF OUR HISTORY!

Like has been mentioned, Michelle did say it was a different board. Maybe new board and everyone will have to pay now based on that tidbit or maybe gone for good, or they could be talked into keeping the old. The disclaimer and all has made it unclear. I'm guessing here. You said they wiped out previous message board years though right?

Yes, there was an old message board from whenever AF1 first went online (1996-ish??) until 2003, and that was completely wiped out in 2003 when fanclub management switched from FanAsylum to FansRule.
Then, there was a board just like the last/current one, except that it was navy-blue/blue instead of dark-grey/gold, and that board lasted from 2003-2005 and was totally wiped out in 2005.
The current board only goes back to September of 2005.
So, I guess we'll carry on.
But, still, NINE years of history!

So I take it you're resigned to continuing without the board of old and advantage of being grandfathered in? There is still the slim chance they could make it free, as has been suggested, which would be my hope. Time will tell.
I dont get what they will be doing with their M&G section etc. It's also getting axed? That's one reason the new site seems unfinished, or they are really switching things up. I don't like the "new" site design much.

I will post here what I posted in the AF1 thread here on this board.
I thought by the way others were talking that there was a board on the aerosmith.com site but I was wrong!
The email I got from the big shot at Paid said it was up to the band now and that Paid would not be moving forward.
{Moving forward meaning they aren't handling the fan club is how I took it.}
So this being the case, I don't see a new message board on the new site. I know that at least one band member didn't like it in the first place, so I don't look for there to ever be a board associated with the fan club again.

Why would someone not like message boards Michelle? Not asking you who, none of my business. But why?

I guess I won't get my hopes up about them making it free.
So they didn't like the idea of us chatting about them on the internet, eh? As I recall, Joey Kramer was none too fond of the boards. Who else, though? I don't remember anyone else from the Aerosmith camp ever getting entangled with AF1 drama, and, also, Joe Perry's stepson always seemed like a positive AF1 contributor.
That's really crappy though, "We don't want a forum - so say goodbye to your community, everyone."
Af1 isn't my main home on the web, but it is somewhere I've been for 13 years, and it's kind of strange and sad to see it all end.

Why would someone not like message boards Michelle? Not asking you who, none of my business. But why? Just the negativity I think. I also don't think site admins like message boards either. They require moderators and throw in some drama and a few rules, I think they just don't want to mess with them these days.

Thanks for taking time to post that here too Michelle! Negativity can also be called free speech, which they can edit from their end, to their own liking with social media. Many celebrity types commented early on that twitter seemed stupid, but I guess they found the advantages to its usefulness now. What stays in my mind is people saying they are hacked on there.

I missed all the drama that went down around Joey's wife and Chris being banned.

I got there after things became ugly maybe 6 years ago or so. I would post something and felt like I was being attacked all the time. I thought, "This is a FAN CLUB?" I hope things here can stay positive and people can be civil.
