I believe passing mentions have been made about this tour, but I have not seen a whole thread dedicated to it. I was wondering what everyone thought of this pairing? Though not Freddie Mercury, I think Adam fits in great.
I'll be going to the shows in Philadelphia and Atlantic City. Anyone else going?

Let us know how the shows are.
I'm on the fence about this. I've watched the vids, and Adam is definitely a good performer, and he can hit the notes with ease. But on the other hand, he sounds nothing like Freddie, and that makes it hard for me to swallow. I want to like it, but from the videos I'm not sure if I could warm up to it.

I was actually surprised that I liked the vids with Adam. I was expecting to hate it--I mean, its not Freddie, and I felt strongly Brian and Roger should have followed John into retirement from Queen. Yet, I think Adam works well in the mix. Not sure I will go see the show, but I get why Brian and Roger want to tour with him.

If anyone gets the chance, check out the tribute band "One Night With Queen". That guy has got it down, looks, actions, and voice. A really great show. If Queen would recruit him they couldn't take my cash fast enough.
Still, I know Adam will put on a good show as well.

I thought I would love the paring but not so much from what I have watched. I thought Adam Lambert had a higher range than what I am seeing and thats almost mandatory for Queen songs. I thought that was the complaint on why Paul Weller (name doesn't sound right) was not a good fit with Queen.

I'll definitely let you know how the show is! (They aren't until July 16th and 26th, so it's a bit of time away). I totally get what you're saying about sounding totally different, but I almost like that. I don't want to see Adam going up there and trying to be Freddie Mercury, as I feel that's a bit disrespectful. The show is billed as Queen + Adam Lambert, and I think Adam does a great job adding a certain uniqueness to the brilliance of Roger and Brian. Just my two cents
