Joan has become just plain nasty. After the comments she made about those young women who were held hostage in Cleveland, she showed what a horrible and nasty woman she really is.
To think that anything she has to say is relevant is amazing....

Agreed Aeroladyny; Joan is a mess. I think she was a trailblazer in comedy when "No Girls Were Allowed", but her 500 hundred years of fame are up. I didn't hear/read what she had to say about those women, but I can only imagine.

I didn't hear/read what she had to say about those women, but I can only imagine. I saw the actual video of her saying it. She was joking. She has said over and over "I am a comedian. Nothing I say should be taken seriously." |

Maybe I know this because I am old, but JR was kind of like the original shock comic. It really is a new sickness that joking about ANY of our differences is punishable by being ostracized from the country. My best friend ended up coming out to me and I acquired two gay friends from knowing him. I made horrible jokes about them, to them. And they made even worse jokes about me being straight. No big fucking deal. Lost all 3 to AIDs by '91.
